Hamm/Münster/Hamburg 26.05.2021 // What is the top address in Germany for unique hi-fi and home cinema? Quite clearly: the Auditorium - and has been for 40 years! On 04 July 2021, the hi-fi and home cinema enthusiasts at the Auditorium will be celebrating the company's 40th anniversary.
The Auditorium was founded in 1981.
In 1981, a very good time for music anyway, with huge concerts by renowned artists such as Pink Floyd or Simon & Garfunkel, Leonhard Schwarte founded a hi-fi business on Feidikstraße in Hamm, on the outskirts of the Ruhr area. Unconventional for those times and classic in equal measure: the name "Auditorium" comes from Latin and stands for the auditorium, the audience. Thus, from the very beginning, the Auditorium was not only about passionately listening to music, but also about listening, with the aim of offering the customer the best possible solution.
A strategy that has proven to be purposeful, as the Auditorium now counts two more locations: in the Westphalian university town of Münster and in Hamburg's world-famous Speicherstadt. And selling high-quality hi-fi and home cinema technology is not the only passion of the Auditorium. The areas of media integration and home cinema construction are also part of it - from conception to installation and commissioning. Thanks to the internationalised online shop www.auditorium.de, which was completely revamped at the beginning of 2021, the wide range of products now delights customers from all over Europe and beyond.
As if that were not enough, the Auditorium is also known for its events: Concerts, manufactory events, hi-fi world premieres, workshops. In 2021, the Auditorium will celebrate its birthday with attractive offers and many special products that have been developed and manufactured especially for Auditorium customers. And the giant birthday party will be made up for, the Auditorium promises.
By the way: #Wirsind4zig is not only something the Auditorium can claim, Managing Director Sebastian Schwarte also recently celebrated this personal anniversary. He took over the business from his father in 2007. So the Auditorium is a genuine Hammer family business.
