Press releaseEvening event and exhibition: Neal Preston - In the Eye of the Rock'n'Roll Hurricane

Hamm 9.11.2021 // Be there as Freddie Mercury prepares for the Queen gig, or sit together live with rock greats like Led Zeppelin or Mötley Crüe. Neal Preston's music photographs make it possible. From 2 December, you can marvel at Neal Preston's pictures in the Auditorium Hamm - in large format. The exhibition will be opened with an informative evening event. The Preston works will hang in the Auditorium Hamm until the end of January 2022.

In the 50 years of his photography career, Neal Preston has had pretty much every rock icon since the sixties in front of his lens: Led Zeppelin, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Bruce Springsteen, Queen... The list goes on and on. His photographs are used for TV shows, films or booklets or can be found on numerous magazines, newspapers and books - and from 2 December they will also hang in the Auditorium Hamm.

The owner of the pictures is the Lightpower Collection from Paderborn, whose founder Ralph-Jörg Wezorke will be a guest in the Auditorium Hamm on 2 December to open the exhibition. At the evening event there will be all kinds of facts and interesting facts about "In the Eye of the Rock'n'Roll Hurricane".

For the whole of December 2021 and January 2022 you will have the opportunity to see 36 concert photographs free of charge: A relaxed get-together of Mötley Crüe before the next concert or being there "live" as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury applies kohl before the gig. It will at least feel like live, because the close-ups give the scenes a liveliness that pulls the viewer right into the action.

The Lightpower Collection, to which the works on show belong, has been touring the exhibition "In the Eye of the Rock'n'Roll Hurricane" for seven years now. All proceeds from sales of signed fine art prints benefit charitable foundations within the event industry.
