MASSIVE PERFECT SURFACE COPPER LADDER (PSC)

Perfect-Surface-Copper has an amazingly smooth and pure surface. The company's proprietary metalworking technology protects the surface of the wire at every step of the drawing and manufacturing process. When high purity, low oxygen copper is kept as soft, pure, and smooth as possible, it becomes a wonderfully low distortion conductor. AudioQuest has pioneered the use of high quality metals for more than 30 years; but even we were surprised at the huge jump in the performance. PSC outperforms metals previously used at AQ, which cost more than ten times as much. The mutual electrical and magnetic influence of the strands in conventional cable structures is the greatest source of interference and often causes an 'impure', 'rough' sound. Solid conductors are the basic foundation for the Wildcat's pure sound.

POLYETHYLENE AIR TUBE INSULATION

Any massive material adjacent to a conductor becomes part of an incomplete electrical network. Wire insulation and circuit board material absorb energy (losses). Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Wildcat uses PE Air Tube insulation for all conductors because air absorbs almost no energy and polyethylene is low-loss and has a benign distortion profile. The PE-Air-Tube insulation causes significantly fewer blurring effects than other materials.

ASSEMBLY

The Wildcat's gold-plated RCA plugs use a proprietary design that eliminates the distortion caused by the extra contact inside the plug. Because the end sleeves are stamped rather than machined, the metal can be selected for low distortion rather than machinability. The combination of these main ingredients and the many other refined details explain why the Wildcat sounds so clear, clean and dynamic.
