TRANSPARENT
TRANSPARENT is a cable manufacturer from Saco in the US state of Maine and has been producing high-quality hi-fi connections for more than 20 years. The driving force behind all developments are two things above all: firstly, a great love of music - many of Transparent's employees are trained musicians, and they also run their own recording studio, and secondly, intensive research based on the latest scientific findings.
This is also how the company's most important innovation was created - the TRANSPARENT NETWORK. This is a passive filter element in the signal path, which is individually adapted to the respective cable and the respective cable length. The purpose of the TRANSPARENT NETWORK is to compensate for the frequency-dependent fluctuations in capacitance and inductance to which every conventional cable is inevitably subject. This is the only way to ensure that cables of different lengths have the same sound characteristics.
This means that different lengths can be used with Transparent cables for all analog connections that usually occur in pairs - e.g. loudspeaker cables - without having to fear any loss of sound quality. Depending on the cable series and quality, the TRANSPARENT NETWORK turns out more or less complex. For the top cables of the Reference, Opus and Magnus Opus series, which are only individually manufactured to order, the special mechanical and electrical properties of the components to be connected are even taken into account in addition to the length of the cable. This means that you will receive a cable that is absolutely perfectly matched to your own system.
However, all other cables from TRANSPARENT also go through a complex production process, which is accompanied by numerous measurements before, during and after assembly. In order to be able to guarantee this quality permanently, all TRANSPARENT cables without exception are carefully manufactured by hand by well-trained specialists at the company headquarters in Saco.
