All Burmester components are carefully handcrafted in the Berlin manufactory. Of course, individual products from different lines can also be combined to form complete systems. At the same time, they are ideally suited to complement devices from other manufacturers.

Since the development of the first surround processor, Burmester Audiosysteme has also set the tone in the home theater sector. The development of our surround processors benefits from numerous innovations from our company and various insights that were gained during the development of other components.

The premise in the conception of our surround processors is the combination of uncompromising sound with ease of use. The functionality of the processors is structured in such a way that their operation is self-explanatory. Unnecessary controls and functions were deliberately avoided. Nevertheless, numerous presets can be configured individually.

Thanks to their update capability, Burmester Surround Processors offer unrestricted listening pleasure based on the latest standard. They are compatible with all modern surround formats and have symmetrical amplification strips and automatic override for the analog inputs.

Burmester 057

Five years after Burmester Audiosysteme started setting the tone in the surround world with the Surround Processor 007, another multi-channel device followed with the 057.

The Surround Processor 057 offers music lovers almost all the excellent features of the Reference Line Processor 007 in a more compact design. Thanks to its update capability, the 057 is a future-proof investment.

All functions of the 057 Surround Processor can be controlled via BurLink by media control systems such as CrestronTM or AMXTM. The 057 processes Dolby® Digital Surround EXTM, DTS Digital Surround ö ES ö Neo: 6TM and Pro Logic® II as standard. It can be connected up to 7.1 channels, has symmetrical reinforcement strips and automatic override. Like the 007, the device is completely DC coupled, that is, without any coupling capacitors in the signal path that affect the sound.

Its puristic design gives the 057 extremely aesthetic features. Despite its complexity, the functionality of the surround processor is so logically structured that its operation is self-explanatory. Unnecessary controls and functions were deliberately avoided. Various configurations can be saved in four setups and thus enable quick access to individual settings, such as LipSync delay for synchronizing image and sound.
