The Soundsmith Helios MKII fixed coil cartridge uses an actual ‘cactus spine’ cantilever, as the naturally tapered shape, low mass and extreme rigidity fit the exact parameters of the perfect cantilever. This provides the best damping system to effectively transfer energy away from the cantilever through the cartridge body. An ultra-low mass contact line solid nude diamond stylus allows the cartridge to track the outer and inner grooves of the vinyl record with the same confidence and accuracy.
