Isotek V5 Syncro Uni 16 DC Filter

IsoTek's Syncro Uni sets the standard in DC rejection, using innovative technology to precisely align the mains sine wave to the zero-volt line. This significantly reduces or completely eliminates transformer noise and disruptive vibrations. This high-end product can be used either as a standalone solution for a single component or as a performance-enhancing upgrade in conjunction with an IsoTek Power Cleaner to provide a perfect sine wave on all outputs.

IsoTek is setting new standards with the latest generation of the DC cancelling system that was introduced 15 years ago. The revised design offers a 260% increase in current capacity and significantly reduced impedance. In addition, the peak current now reaches an impressive 32 amps.

Design & Technology

IsoTek has completely redesigned the new V5 circuit board and doubled the copper content compared to the industry standard. This optimization leads to increased conductivity and improves overall efficiency. In addition, at least 36 high-performance copper/silver capacitors are used, offering a total capacity of 169,000µF. All electronic components in this V5 generation are designed for maximum reliability and offer peak surge protection of over 500 amps.

The V5 Syncro Uni drastically minimizes transformer hum and mechanical vibrations by balancing the mains voltage and filtering out interfering direct current. The device can be used as a standalone unit or as an upstream filter for power cables and distributors. Reducing direct current in the mains power prevents transformer cores from saturating, reducing mechanical vibrations and unnecessary heat generation. This results in clearer and distortion-free music reproduction.

The increasing load on the power grid from modern household appliances such as dimmers, hair dryers, coffee machines or even solar panels and fast charging stations for electric vehicles creates DC distortions. This distortion can occur throughout the entire neighborhood or even over longer distances. IsoTek addresses this challenge with Syncro technology, which aligns the sine wave precisely to the zero-volt line to ensure a perfectly symmetrical power supply.

Optimal performance for high-end audio

Irregularities in the mains current have a significant impact on the power supply of audio components. An unbalanced sine wave causes transformers to physically hum and create micro-vibrations that negatively affect the sound. The V5 Syncro Uni provides a more stable power supply, which significantly improves dynamics and detail. At the same time, natural musicality is retained without limiting dynamics.

The powerful V5 Syncro Uni 16 board supports a load of up to 32 A internally and enables a maximum transfer power of 7,360 W. To ensure long-term stability and reliability, the device has been limited to a standard 16 A connection.

The robust steel and aluminum housing measures 250mm in length, 150mm in width and 85mm in height. The internal cabling is made of high-quality 6n OFC copper with silver coating and FEP dielectric, which is also used in the aerospace industry. This combination guarantees first-class electrical insulation and optimal signal transmission. All IsoTek products are designed to ensure perfect synergy with the in-house power cables, ensuring consistent and trouble-free operation.
