The story of CANVAS HiFi began with a clear vision: to create a sound system that would harmonize perfectly with TVs in terms of appearance and technology, while offering HiFi quality. The goal was to develop a system that would meet both design requirements and deliver a real sound experience - a combination that has been difficult to find in the audio world until now. Two major challenges had to be overcome: uncontrollable bass and the lack of spatial stereo imaging caused by the limited placement of the speakers. With a spirit of innovation and a relentless pursuit of perfection, the team tackled the hurdles.
A new chapter for HiFi sound
In an era where hi-fi systems often had to make compromises in order to be space-saving and versatile, real hi-fi sound was increasingly lost. Many modern speakers meet practical requirements but do not offer authentic sound or impressive home cinema experiences. CANVAS has made it its mission to bring this quality back and develop a sound system that is equally convincing in terms of function and aesthetics.
The minds behind CANVAS
CANVAS HiFi was born from the collaboration of Kim Neeper Rasmussen, an experienced developer, and Laust Nielsen, an expert in the HiFi field. Kim brought over two decades of experience in audio technology, combining his knowledge of design, acoustics and engineering. Laust, in turn, grew up in a HiFi company and developed a deep understanding of customer needs and the integration of sound into living spaces. Their meeting in 2019 led to a productive partnership that eventually culminated in the founding of CANVAS HiFi in 2022.

From the beginning, CANVAS' development has been characterized by intensive research and groundbreaking technological solutions. Particularly outstanding was the control of bass through innovative placement strategies and the creation of impressive spatial sound - a real breakthrough in audio innovation.
