CAMBRIDGE AUDIO

About the origins of football one can argue, even who brewed the first beer is not quite clear. But there is no doubt that HIFI was invented in England. Cambridge Audio was involved from the very beginning. London in the "Swinging Sixties" - while bands like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Kinks revolutionized rock 'n' roll, British studio engineers developed new recording methods such as multitrack recording. But in order to make this new sound experienceable, new playback technology was needed that was capable of reproducing it at home without distortion. This was the birth of the "high fidelity" principle: add nothing, leave nothing out. And it was also the birth of Cambridge Audio, where one goal has been pursued for almost 50 years: to create audio components that would make music as it was recorded in the studio. This principle began in 1968 with the legendary P40 amplifier, and it still applies today. Founded in Cambridge, Cambridge Audio's headquarters have been located in the heart of London for many years, not far from iconic landmarks such as London Bridge, the Tower or the famous skyscraper "The Shard".

As before, all products are designed and developed in Great Britain. Fortunately, the company philosophy follows another British virtue, cultivated understatement. No feature is an end in itself, unnecessarily complex circuitry is avoided. What counts is the music and it needs pure, unadulterated sound. In order to achieve this goal, the most modern procedures and complex measurements are naturally used in the development. However, it is not the measuring equipment that is the focus of development work at Cambridge Audio, but the ears. Ears of people with a lot of experience and a great passion for the authentic sound experience - the ears of the developers at Cambridge Audio.

The portfolio of the English manufacturer has long since covered the entire range of audio reproduction, and Cambridge Audio offers unadulterated sound for every link in the hi-fi chain from source to speaker. This applies to the convenient network streamer CXN as well as the fully equipped UHD Blu-ray player CXUHD or the Bluetooth speakers Yoyo (S) and Yoyo (M). Because the "Great British Sound" is still as relevant today as it was 50 years ago.
