ARCAM –
An iconic British audio brand
Every big goal starts with a small step. Just like the goal of making music sound as pure and as natural as possible. Many have committed themselves to this mission over the years - and many have made a major contribution to it. Whether in research, product design or production, a lot of time, sweat and passion has gone into developing the best possible products.
We can enjoy the result today, because regardless of whether it's the blockbuster we stream or the favorite song we like to listen to at game night, we can now enjoy our music in breathtaking quality. It is clear to everyone that you want to fully immerse yourself in the music and that you need a certain volume to do this. After all, you don't just want to hear the full bass, you also want to feel it. Quality amplifiers are an absolute must for every hi-fi fan, because if there is a lack of quality, the music will lack its purity. That's why many connoisseurs rely on the Arcam brand, which has established itself over decades as a synonym for quality in the field of amplifiers.
The story of Arcam begins in 1976 at the University of Cambridge, where the two students and founders John Dawson and Chris Evans fell in love with hi-fi. Their mission was also to develop products that reproduce music in the best possible quality. It didn't take the two students long and they released their first product in the same year: the integrated amplifier A60. This was particularly impressive due to its high-end sound performance and elegant appearance. Two qualities that should define many more Arcam products.
In the following decades, several product series contributed to the great success of the British company. The Alpha and Delta series were very popular on the market in the 1980s and 90s and the FMJ and DiVA series, which were released at the turn of the millennium, also delighted hi-fi lovers all over the world. Today, Arcam's product range includes integrated amplifiers, integrated amplifiers, AV receivers, players and home cinema equipment.
