In the 1980s, Arcam systematically expanded its portfolio, adding preamplifiers, CD players, and tuner amplifiers to its existing range of amplifiers. A milestone of this period was the Arcam Alpha 8, an integrated amplifier that received widespread acclaim for its build quality and sound performance, further strengthening Arcam's position in the high-end segment.

At the same time, the company invested heavily in digital audio technologies to actively shape the transition from purely analog to hybrid audio playback.

EXPANSION INTO THE HOME CINEMA SECTOR

In the 2010s, Arcam continued its innovation strategy, introducing high-performance AV receivers such as the Arcam AVR600 and Arcam AVR850, which gained immense popularity among home cinema enthusiasts. Simultaneously, the Arcam Solo Music was developed, a compact all-in-one system offering audiophile sound quality in a space-saving design.

In 2017, Arcam became part of Harman International, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics. This integration enabled greater global reach and access to expanded development resources without altering the brand's sonic identity.

TECHNOLOGICAL ORIENTATION OF THE PRESENT

In the 2020s, Arcam combined classic hi-fi virtues with modern home cinema technology. Current AV receivers integrate features such as 4K video processing, HDR standards, and immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos.

One example is the Arcam AVR30, which additionally offers room correction technology and extensive streaming functionality, thus reflecting the manufacturer's continuous innovation efforts.
