They work well with other TRANSCENDENT Transparent System Companions to create a solid and refined foundation with enhanced control and resolution at the frequency extremes, and with the ability to recreate the acoustic properties of performance spaces with a level of realism that can make you feel , to be there.

OPUS Balanced Interconnect (OBL) unlocks the full potential of your upgraded symmetrical connoisseur level source components or preamplifier with two fully differential symmetrical networks for each channel. Most OPUS owners have spent years putting their dream system together and investing in it to get closer to the music. OBL is the connectivity solution that helps Traumanlagen deliver on their promise of an exciting 'you're in' listening experience - every time you hit 'on' and play your favorite material.

The story behind OPUS Balanced Interconnects begins with the high-quality XLR connectors with gold-plated contacts, which effortlessly transmit power thanks to the precisely wound OFHC stranding. OPUS Balanced Interconnect is a significant performance upgrade compared to XL Balanced Interconnect. OBL transmits well-defined bass energy down to the lower octave and offers a quieter interface for low-level audio signals than XL Balanced Interconnect.

The components of the OPUS Balanced Network are also specially selected and better matched to the electrical properties of the cable and its length, and the network itself is more precisely calibrated to the electrical output properties of your source components or your preamplifier. This added level of precision lengthens the careful manufacturing process considerably, but the results in your system are worth it: from feeling and hearing the full power of the orchestra, to every nuance of tonal shading and harmonic resolution within the original performance space.

Vibration and resonance control and isolation also reach new heights with OPUS. Each OPUS Balanced Interconnect has 2 module housings per channel to further isolate the two fully differential symmetrical networks. The added isolation reduces noise and effectively attenuates any possibility of resonance affecting performance. The components that make up each network are encased in electrically neutral epoxy and then encased in a carbon fiber network case specially molded for the purpose of reducing standing wave reflections. Carbon fiber is non-magnetic, light and stiff. The thinner, stronger network case provides a larger cavity for dampening epoxy stress, and the non-magnetic properties of carbon fiber allow electromagnetic fields to propagate freely and fully, allowing your system to more accurately reproduce microdynamics and harmonic music information.
