All Nordost cables have one characteristic feature in common: fast signal transmission. Nordost achieves this by implementing the patented monofilament technology. This technology is implemented in the new tonearm Cable + from the Heimdall2 tonearm Cable +. This requires that each conductor be intricately and evenly wrapped in either a single 'micro' strand or two twisted 'double' strands of FEP monofilament before being encased in an extruded layer of high quality FEP. By using this technology, the insulation contact with the conductors is reduced by 80% or 85%.

Another important feature of all new tonearm cables from Nordost is a newly developed grounding solution. A two-part grounding guarantees optimal grounding and separate shielding and offers a solution for every combination of components and connections that can be found between the various turntables and phono stages on the market. Part one is a fully insulated, silver-plated micro mono filament ground wire. Part two consists of two removable, silver-plated connections that are included with each cable. If necessary, these plug-in connections are connected to the shielding of the cable, thereby avoiding noise or possible hum that could occur during signal transmission.

All phono cables are supplied in the versions DIN straight or 90 degrees to RCA or XLR or RCA to RCA or XLR. The Plus Upgrade is immediately available for Blue Heaven, Heimdall2, Frey2, Tyr 2 and Valhalla 2.
