Audioquest YIQ-G
AudioQuest YIQ component video cables contain three extremely powerful coaxial cables - one for each of the component video signals: the 'Y' signal (black and white) as well as the 'I'and the' Q 'signals (also known as Pb and Pr known) that contain all color information. In the two-channel S-Video system (also known as Y / C) the 'I' and 'Q' signals are combined and form the 'C' signal. If possible, it is better to use three-channel component video (AQ YIQ cable) because it avoids the signal degradation that comes with combining and then separating the signal.
MASSIVE 1.25% SILVER LADDER
Solid conductors eliminate distortion caused by the interaction of the strands and reduce jitter. Solid, silver-plated conductors are excellently suited for high-frequency applications such as component video signals with more than 30 MHz. During transmission, these high-frequency signals remain almost exclusively on the surface of the conductor. Since this is made of high-purity silver, the reproduction comes very close to that of a solid silver cable, while the price is closer to that of a copper cable. This is a surprisingly inexpensive way to make very high quality 75 ohm cables. In order to achieve the best sound, the direction of each digital audio conductor is checked.
HARD-CELL FOAM INSULATION
Any massive material adjacent to a conductor becomes part of an incomplete electrical network. Wire insulation and circuit board material absorb energy (losses). Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion. Solid, high-density polyethylene insulation ensures the critical geometry of the signal pairs and minimizes phase distortions caused by the insulation.
SHIELDING (FOIL and TINNED BRAID)
The shielding plays an important role in every cable structure; In the case of coaxial cables, this role is special in that it not only serves as a shield, but also as a return. For this reason, AudioQuest pays special attention to the metal quality of the shielding and manufacturing technology, as both affect both sound and image.
