Solid PSC conductors for clean signal flow
Inside the Copperhead cables , solid conductors are made of Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) – a high-purity copper with a particularly smooth surface. Compared to stranded conductors, these solid conductors specifically reduce interference and signal distortion. The result is a natural, clearly structured sound with excellent dynamics.
Equivalent conductor structure with clever grounding
Both conductors—signal and ground—are made of identical material and construction. An additional, unshielded ground conductor integrated within the aluminum foil shield helps to specifically dissipate low-frequency interference. This creates a particularly quiet sound image with clearly defined details and spatial depth.
Reduced shielding for maximum signal purity
AudioQuest takes an unusual but effective approach with the Copperhead: Instead of maximum shielding, they rely on a precisely tuned HyperLitz shield that protects the sensitive signal without distorting it with metallic feedback. This construction impressively supports the natural sound development.
24-carat gold-plated connectors and silver-free soldering technology
The RCA connectors are made of solid metal with 24-karat gold plating for optimal contact quality. AudioQuest avoids conventional silver solder and instead uses a specially developed solder alloy that remains metallically conductive and reduces sound-damaging contact resistance.
