Sometimes pulling cables can be a real agony! AudioQuest's new FLX / SLiP series of in-wall speaker cables is designed to make your life at least a little easier. While there is no such thing as a perfect cable, Audioquest believes that the materials and design used for FLX / SLiP are at the forefront, making these cables the most slip-resistant out there.
SLiP 14/4 features semi-solid concentric packed conductors that reduce roughness and confusion. Long-Grain Copper (LGC) has fewer grain connections and less distortion, which maintains clarity and naturalness. The low-inductance spiral geometry of the SLiP 14/4 minimizes the sound, which becomes blurred with increasing length. The EasySLiP Minimalist Outer Jacket is UL-certified for use in the wall (CL3, FT4).
SEMI-SOLID CONCENTRIC LONG GRAIN COPPER (LGC) CONDUCTORS
In a conventional multi-core cable, the distortion caused by the electrical and magnetic interaction of the strands is increased as each strand changes position within the bundle. In an AQ Semi-Solid Concentric Cable, the strands within the bundle maintain their fixed relationships, which greatly reduces distortion. Long-Grain Copper (LGC) provides a softer and clearer sound than cables with conventional OFHC (Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity) copper. LGC has fewer oxides within the conductive material, fewer impurities, fewer grain boundaries, and definitely better performance.
