STEREO INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER FOR MULTIROOM SYSTEMS

Network Integrated Amplifier

The CI 720 V2 integrated network stereo amplifier with an output of 2 x 60 watts is the perfect building block for innovative individual home audio systems. It enables access and streaming of high-resolution 24-bit music via BluOS ® and is operated via smartphones or tablets - which even works via the operating platforms of numerous third-party control systems such as Control4, Crestron, RTI and URC. The latest version 2 of the device also supports Apple AirPlay 2.

HybridDigital™ - Class D amplifier

The innovative HybridDigital™ technology is used in the CI 720 V2. This is a self-oscillating Class D amplifier that works with active negative feedback. This first converts the analog curve-shaped input signal into a square-wave signal using pulse width modulation (PWM). The music information is now exclusively in the changing pulse width. Since the power transistors only require two switching states - on or off - Hybrid Digital™ Class D amplifiers, in contrast to Class A and B technology, work extremely efficiently and achieve a power yield of more than 90%.

PowerDrive™ for large dynamic reserves

NAD's PowerDrive™ circuit ensures that an amplifier has sufficient power reserves, even with extreme pulse peaks, to be able to reproduce the music signals in their full dynamics. If required, the power pack provides very high current reserves for a short time, so that almost twice the output power can be mobilized for pulse peaks.

MQA - Studio master quality music

MQA is not a new file format, but an innovative way of packaging large music files with complex coding, efficient compression technology and a digital signature in such a way that even original studio master recordings in 24-bit/192 kHz format can be stored in comparatively small data packages packaged and made available online. For this purpose, the music data is packaged in any container such as ALAC, FLAC or WAV. When playing back via a decoder integrated in BluOS™, the player completely unpacks the file and returns it to its original format, the studio master file, without any loss.

main features

  • low-distortion HybridDigital™ amplifier
  • PowerDrive™ for high pulse power
  • 2 x 60 W continuous power at 4 and 8 O
