It is an ancient Japanese tradition to always strive for absolute perfection. Perfection, as impressively expressed in the Japanese tea ceremony, for example. The STAX SRM-T8000 is the counterpart when it comes to headphone driver amplifiers for electrostatics.
Not only does it draw on the STAX developers' decades of experience and unconditional desire for perfection, it also offers an unbelievable variety of functions: Two STAX headphones can be operated simultaneously on the STAX SRM-T8000. Like all STAX electrostatic headphone driver amplifiers, the STAX SRM-T8000 connects to the Record Out (Tape/Record Out) of preamplifiers and integrated amplifiers, or to the Pre Out (Pre Out) of a preamplifier. The source device to be played is then selected with the input selection of the preamplifier or integrated amplifier - however, a CD player or a turntable with a separate phono preamplifier can also serve directly as the signal source. All in all, the direct connection of up to three source devices is possible, one of them even symmetrically via XLR. The source device to be heard is then selected on the SRM-T8000 itself. The music signal present at the input of the driver amplifier can be looped through to connect another device. If a source device is to be connected digitally, a separate D/A converter is required.
