Conceived and built by Audionet and designed by the legendary German industrial designer Hartmut Esslinger, the HUMBOLDT combines the outstanding qualities of the globally acclaimed series show winners STERN and HEISENBERG in an integrated amplifier the likes of which the world has never seen before.
Ultra Linear Amplifiers
Each channel has its own transformer on the Humboldt. The secondary windings always supply the analog and the control unit separately, mutual interference is excluded. Elko banks with the performance of small power plants are available for intermediate storage of the energy. With Audionet's proprietary "Ultra Linear Amplifier" technology, the signal runs through the input and output stages over the shortest possible path for ideal impulse response. Phase- and impedance-critical loads can be driven without a drop in stability, the distortions are at a level that is practically unmeasurable.
music transport
If the music is not transported on the circuit board, it takes place via gold-plated pure silver lines. A number of the components used, for example the mica capacitors, are also manufactured with exact specifications for Audionet, as are the noble Furutech rhodium terminals and the fine-wire fuses with a thread made of the same material.
volume control
The volume can be controlled in around eighty steps, the level setting is recorded without contact. The optocouplers used have the advantage that there is no electromagnetic interference as with a conventional potentiometer. The actual level is then set via a network of metal film resistors.
Cleanest electricity in the world
The trick of only working with the cleanest electricity in the world - the one that comes from gallium arsenide LEDs - not only ensures incredibly good, unique sound, but also a unique red light inside an Audionet amplifier. This is not decoration, this is systemic!
connections
Inputs: 3 pairs of cinch line, rhodium (Furutech), 2 pairs of balanced XLR, gold-plated (Neutrik), 1 D Sub 9 serial interface RS232 (only for control) 1 SMA for WLAN (only for control)
Outputs: 2 pairs of LS terminals, rhodium (Furutech), 1 pair of cinch line, rhodium (Furutech), 1 pair of balanced XLR, gold-plated (Neutrik), 2 audionet links, optical, 1 screw connection, gold-plated, for earth connection
Furnishing
- Consistent double-mono design of input, volume and power amps for maximum channel separation.
- Magnetically and capacitively optimized circuit and device design without the use of ferromagnetic materials.
- Floating housing panels, resonance-optimized on a solid aluminum frame.
- Transformer attachment and screw connections are made of stainless steel.
- Air flow design circuit boards for optimized cooling and stabilization of the quiescent currents.
- Separation and galvanic isolation of all analog circuits by optocouplers.
- Rhodium RCA jacks from Furutech.
- Volume encoder with double ball bearings, magnetic grid and optical scanning.
- Volume control via an electronically switched and real-time linearized precision resistor network.
- DC coupling without capacitors or coils that could damage the sound, shortest signal paths.
- Two transformers per channel for a channel-separated power supply (double mono design).
- A total of two 100VA and two 850VA toroidal transformers, all encapsulated and decoupled.
