CURRENT COUPLING
The amplification through current negative feedback is a renowned circuit technology developed by Marantz that perfectly meets the requirements of high-resolution music. The impedance at the current negative feedback point is limited, which leads to an extremely low phase shift. This in turn means that Marantz current negative feedback amplifiers reduce the need for phase compensation via negative feedback (Negative FeedBack - NFB) to a minimum. This simplified the signal path, resulting in better throughput, excellent transient response and excellent transparent sound across the bandwidth. In contrast to the conventional voltage negative feedback structure, the current negative feedback makes the power amplifiers insensitive to difficult loudspeaker loads.

MARANTZ HDAM TECHNOLOGY
The patented Marantz HDAM-SA3 circuits (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) are used in the PM8006. These ensure a wide and dynamic soundstage with minimal distortion in the power amplifier. Over the years, Marantz has developed various HDMAs to meet the special needs of player components and amplifiers - the PM8006 uses the particularly high-quality SA3 version.

MARANTZ MUSICAL PHONO EQ
The PM8006 is designed as a purely analog integrated amplifier and easily plays over a wide range of loudspeakers. True to the long-standing company motto because music matters, Marantz has committed itself to all music lovers in this case as well.
For LP owners, however, the amplifier has something special on board: the completely redesigned phono stage called Marantz Musical Phono EQ. This is one of the most advanced phono stages in the industry, it makes any external phono preamplifier superfluous. It celebrates its premiere in the PM8006 and technically combines HDAM modules with JFETs (Junction Gate Field Effect Transistors). This increases the impedance so that the signal path can be simplified by eliminating coupling capacitors. The two-stage amplification of the new phono stage processes the very low signal levels generated by the pickups with minimal distortion.

For maximum precision, passive and active sectors are connected when the RIAA curve (record standard of the Recording Industry Association of America) is readjusted: This RIAA correction takes place in an HDAM, while the amplification is carried out by a high-quality Class A operational amplifier, which ensures minimal distortion. Everything revolves around the purest and best sound - the Marantz trademark for over 60 years.

INNOVATIVE DESIGN WITH RING CORE TRANSFORMER
The overall design of the amplifier focuses on the shortest possible signal paths and a high instantaneous current structure, ie the model is technically able to provide a high power requirement extremely quickly, if necessary. These factors ensure improved speed and dynamics. The PM8006 is also equipped with the distinctive 'Tri-Tone' controls from Marantz, which enable the separate adjustment of bass, middle and high frequencies (triple tone control). In addition to five inputs and the MM phono stage, its features include a preamplifier output and power amplifier inputs for future system expansions and / or integration into a home theater system. As an input buffer, which makes it less sensitive to the output characteristics of connected sound sources, the power is supplied to the amplifier via a double-shielded toroidal transformer. In this way, disturbances are virtually eliminated. For reasons of stability and vibration resistance, it was also provided with a triple-reinforced base plate and extremely vibration-damping feet.

OFTEN UNDERESTIMATED: A HIGH QUALITY VOLUME CONTROL
In order to achieve a particularly accurate balance of the channels and clarity of the sound when listening to music, a new type of volume control is used in the PM8006. This uses an analog volume button to control the electronic adjustment via a microprocessor.

HIGH QUALITY, ORIGINAL MARANTZ SPKT-1 + SPEAKER TERMINALS
Two bespoke pairs of Marantz loudspeaker terminals with A / B switching are available. These connections are made of solid brass and have been given a strong silver coating, which ensures extremely reliable contact with the speaker cables. The main speaker connections are lower and therefore closer to the motherboard to shorten the signal path.
