The NXAMP is far more complex than a simple combination of power amplifier and loudspeaker controller. An innovative DSP programming ensures several digital measuring lines at the same time in order to protect the amplifier and the connected loudspeakers at the same time. For the first time, the NXAMP4x4 uses an unprecedented double power cable, which supplies the power supplies with almost twice the power compared to most current power amplifiers. However, it remains extremely easy to connect the device to any single or multi-phase network. To handle these massive amounts of current, the NXAMP4X4 features four independent full resonant converter power supplies that operate in anti-phase, eliminating noise and improving electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

The modern power amp technology of the NXAMP4X4 is based on carefully selected custom-made assemblies and represents an uncompromising further development of Yamaha's EEEngine technology. It delivers the tonal purity of conventional Class AB amps with a heat dissipation that corresponds to Class D. The two dual-core DSPs not only take care of the amplifier protection and its optimization, but they redefine the quality level of NEXO's in-house speaker management technology and ensure a previously unattainable level of properties such as sound, performance and operational reliability.

With its practical features such as complete “computer-free” operation from the front panel, fast independent speaker selection per output or load monitoring via GPIO and networks such as EtherEound™/AES/EBU/Dante™, the NXAMP4x4 is suitable for a safe installation perfect for a large number of the most varied of demanding tasks.
