Description Audionet AMP
Air is a good keyword for our two AMP monoblocks. Why? The couple needs air around them so that the heat that each individual generates can radiate. And air is what you hear when you enjoy your music with it. Every bit of beat, every sound detail will float in front of you in transparent space, as if it were enveloped in a cocoon of air. A maximum of lightness and plasticity, played by two 22 kilogram mono power amplifiers. The AMP will bring tears to the eyes of the particularly sensitive listeners. Experience reports from enthusiastic customers confirm this. We are proud and happy to be able to make our customers proud and happy with these power amplifiers and a good dose of air to the competition.
The AMP couple play in a fascinatingly relaxed manner and impress with their tonal transparency, tonal correctness and their coarse and fine dynamic precision. Their transparent, airy and colorful rendering is pleasantly calm. All signal paths are reduced to an absolute minimum and contain no sound-interfering components. Distortions are linearized locally in real time with a unique and very complex correction stage.
The AMP have high and extremely stable performance. You work trouble-free even at the limit. Overall, distortions are so low that they can practically no longer be detected with conventional measuring methods, let alone with the human ear. Return loss and speaker control are unmatched anywhere in the world. A monitoring system intervenes reliably in the event of any malfunctions and provides information on the causes on the display.
Let yourself into a fantastic sound experience. Relax with the AMP by your side.
Technical specifications
AMP's ULA technology is so powerful and precise that even the sound properties of components and materials are clearly perceptible. That is why the AMP only uses the best parts and components at every sound critical point, which we can procure worldwide and some of which have been specially manufactured for us.
For example, we source our high audiograde electrolytic capacitors from Japan, which are equipped with a dielectric made of silk. The 47,000 uF filter capacitors are manufactured separately according to our specifications. Our capacitors with the lowest losses are made of mica, a silicate mineral that is manufactured for us in India and China. Selected high-current film capacitors with the lowest possible loss angle, a high-quality silver / gold alloy for our internal wiring and the best available connection systems from our colleagues at WBT in Essen are used. In addition, all relevant components are continuously checked, measured and matched again during the manufacturing process of each individual monoblock in order to ensure optimum performance.
The arrangement of the input and output circuits, the power supply and the control system largely prevents the development of capacitive and electromagnetic effects that are damaging to the sound. The cover, side panels and front of the microphone-insensitive housing are made of solid aluminum.
In order to optimize the high-frequency properties and the speed, miniaturization techniques are consistently used in the AMP. Other signal paths are reduced to a minimum and do not contain any sound-damaging components such as coupling capacitors, coils or relays.
Each AMP mono output stage has two inputs, which are electronically switched via gold-plated precision relays. The input stage is designed as a double differential amplifier with a low-noise, monolithic double FET. In this way, the power amplifiers are electrically independent of the input signal and harmful interactions with the source are prevented. The input stage is supplied separately by an 80 VA toroidal transformer. Your gain bandwidth product is greater than one gigahertz. Double bootstrapping also decouples them from the performance level.
The power stage is equipped with four power MOSFETs. Their quiescent current is actively regulated and amounts to 0.6 A. Distortions are linearized locally in real time with a unique and very complex correction stage and are overall so low that they can practically no longer be detected with conventional measuring methods. The supply voltages are stabilized as quickly as possible with discretely constructed and optimized MOSFET regulators.
They are supplied by an encapsulated 850 VA toroidal transformer and two special, fast and pulse-resistant high-current capacitors with a total of 188,000 uF filter capacity. A microprocessor reliably controls all functions and permanently monitors DC, HF, temperature and overload and immediately switches off the AMP on the mains side in the event of a fault. The causes of errors are shown in plain text on the large, two-line display. The control unit is fed separately by a transformer.
