'Power dwarf' is probably the most appropriate term for the Pro-Ject Amp Box DS2. Despite its small dimensions, the device packs a punch. The device delivers a stable 140 watts per channel, measured with both channels in operation. The amplifier is frugal with the resource of electricity. Approx. 80% of the electricity supplied is converted into power. For an application with several power amplifiers (bi- or tri-amping) of the DS2/DS3 Line, the preamplifier signal and the switching voltage can be looped through to another amplifier of the DS2/DS3 Line. A preamplifier from the DS2/DS3 Line is recommended as a partner.

Very practical: switching voltage input for switching the device on and off remotely. A preamplifier of the DS2/DS3 Line outputs a 12V switching voltage corresponding to the stand-by button. Connected with switching cables, several devices of the DS2/DS3 Line can be conveniently switched on and off synchronously with one switching operation on the preamplifier, together with the help of the remote control supplied with the preamplifier at the push of a button. This function is particularly useful in a bi- or tri-amping application with DS2/DS3 Line amplifiers.
