Description Audionet Pre G2
You can't get more stereo preamps than this. The Audionet PRE G2 can be described so succinctly in words. What does he do with your music? Indescribable.
How do you explain to sensible people that a preamp that costs almost as much as a Smart makes sense? Perhaps you start with a few questions: Is there a price for emotions? How many euros is the memory of the birth of the first child worth? What would you pay if you could repeat your best first experiences? We believe that there are things in life that are actually priceless. All the nicer when you can afford some of them. Like the exhilarating listening experience that the Audionet PRE G2 will bring you. Incredibly emotional moments that recur with every piece of music that he presents to you. Well, there is no objective reason to treat yourself to the Audionet PRE G2. Also applies to Porsche, Patek Philippe, Picasso and Co.
The Audionet PRE G2, our preamp reference, is a luxurious source of pure sound. With maximum freedom from discolouration and resolution, coarse and fine dynamic precision and astonishing room illumination, it reproduces music in all naturalness.
There are no compromises with the Audionet PRE G2. With basic scientific research as well as extensive development and test work, the engineers at Audionet thought through and tested every detail. Its circuit concept is 'state of the art', its structure is beyond all doubt and its components are carefully selected. Because nothing else meets our requirements, we manufacture operational amplifiers, pulse generators and signal cables for the Audionet PRE G2 ourselves. The volume is set with an electronically switched and in real time linearized precision resistor network. Signal-carrying and controlling functions are optically decoupled from one another. Input and output circuits are immune to negative influences from connected devices. This is how the Audionet PRE G2 defines what is feasible today in terms of measurement technology. Noise, distortion and crosstalk are practically eliminated. All information is shown on a large display. All functions can be remote controlled.
Technical specifications
The housing of the Audionet PRE G2 was designed in such a way that the arrangement of the input and output circuits, the power supply and control system largely avoids the occurrence of capacitive and electromagnetic effects that can damage the sound.
The double mono construction ensures maximum channel separation. The use of SMD miniaturization technology leads to optimal RF properties. The unique volume setting is made by electronically switched precision resistors that are linearized locally in real time. Signal-carrying and controlling circuits are elaborately separated electrically and galvanically from each other via opto-electronic transmitters in order to prevent harmful interactions. The heavy, double-ball bearing mounted and magnetically screened volume control is also optically scanned.
One encapsulated 100 VA toroidal transformer per channel, two special audio capacitors with 41,000 uF and extremely fast, discrete pre-regulators deliver stable supply voltages. In addition, 12 discrete regulators per channel smooth the working voltages on site. An extra power pack supplies the microprocessor unit.
The Audionet operational amplifiers in the signal path are built and optimized as modules discreetly in SMD. Each Audionet operational amplifier is made up of over 86 individual components and is characterized by a unique gain bandwidth product of 1 GHz.
The input stages of the OPs have an almost infinitely high input resistance with a constant minimized capacity, so that the source is not loaded. The inputs are switched with signal and ground via gold-plated precision relays. The output OPs are designed as Class A amplifiers with a high quiescent current and are immune to backscatter from output stages thanks to discrete, fast bipolar push-pull voltage regulators.
A microprocessor monitors and controls all functions and provides information on a dimmable vacuum fluorescent display. The cover, side panels and front of the microphone-insensitive housing are made of solid aluminum.
We paid great attention to the selection and quality of components. All components are selected from a sound point of view and are of exquisite quality. Exceptional electrical and acoustic capacitors, such as specially manufactured mica capacitors, high audio grade electrolytic capacitors with a dielectric made of silk and selected high-current film capacitors with the smallest loss angle, precision relays with gold-plated contacts, precise metal film resistors and internal wiring made of high-purity, gold-doped silver are used.
The inputs can be freely named and different input levels can be adjusted. Connected via Audionet-Link, other Audionet devices can also be switched on remotely. A bypass mode enables problem-free integration into a high-quality multi-channel ensemble.
A microprocessor monitors and controls all functions and provides information on a dimmable vacuum fluorescent display. DC voltage components of source signals can optionally be regulated. Of course, all functions can be operated remotely.
