The AVM SD 8.3 and SD 6.3 at a glance

OVATION SD Streaming DAC - a revolutionary device category: The SD models define a new class of streaming-capable components. They combine an analog preamplifier with two high-level line inputs, a DA converter with DSD, a streaming client with prepared access to HiFi streaming services such as TIDAL Connect, web radio and a first-class headphone amplifier in a single device. This versatile combination is summarized under the name SD, for Streaming & DAC.

The two models SD 6.3 and SD 8.3 differ in one important feature: The SD 6.3 uses high-quality transistor technology in all amplification stages, while the OVATION tube stage of the SD 8.3 produces a warm and natural sound. Both models are housed in the tried and tested housing of the OVATION Line, which is also used in the modular preamplifier PA 8.2.
