Denon celebrates 110 years of innovative audio performance. The limited edition integrated amplifier of the Denon anniversary series PMA-A110 marks the pinnacle of Denon hi-fi technology.

Denon celebrates 110 years of innovative audio performance

Denon has been improving audio and video experiences since 1910. We celebrate this extraordinary achievement with the limited flagship integrated amplifier of the Denon anniversary series in silver graphite.

Integrated amplifier with 2 × 160 watts of power

The Denon PMA-A110 delivers maximum performance for your favorite speakers. With 160 watts per channel, you will experience powerful and precise sound. Thanks to its outstanding operational stability, the integrated amplifier can easily cope with the vast majority of loudspeaker types and impedances.

Made to exceed your expectations

The Denon PMA-A110 is designed to exceed your expectations. With a limited edition in the color silver-graphite, aluminum feet, a transformer plate made of steel and new first-class rear and loudspeaker panels, the PMA-A110 is specially made for discerning hi-fi fans. Designed with finesse and built with precision, the PMA-A110 offers an audio experience of the highest quality.

Certificate of authenticity and 5 year guarantee

This limited flagship integrated amplifier of the Denon anniversary series comes with a special certificate of authenticity, certified by the chief Denon engineer, and a 5-year guarantee.

Seventh generation advanced ultra high current MOS push-pull circuit

The PMA-A110 stands out due to its advanced ultra high current (UHC) power amplifier with a singular MOS push-pull output stage of the latest generation. In conjunction with the two-stage differential amplifier circuit, almost any type of loudspeaker can be operated with improved sound quality. In order to achieve an impeccable balance between the fine details of a music recording and the power in the lower frequency ranges, the PMA-A110 has the ability to deliver high currents thanks to its singular push-pull circuit. In this way, even the most demanding loudspeakers can be operated, while the superior linearity of the output stage is guaranteed.

Electronic high-precision volume control

The PMA-A110 has electronic controls for volume, balance, treble and bass, which retain the analog look of earlier generations of devices. Clever engineering provides the feel of an analog volume control, with the main processor converting the position of the control into digital signals to control the volume. This unique mechanism provides smoother, more linear control of the overall volume by transferring the analog volume control curve to the digital world. The same method is used for the balance and tone controls.

High quality audio components

The amplifier circuit of the PMA-A110, carefully constructed by Denon engineers, offers a frequency response of up to 100 kHz during operation. The volume circuit suppresses the noise in the amplifier and achieves a high acoustic resolution. The PMA-A110 masters the wide dynamic range of Hi-Res audio sources and delivers full performance over the entire sound spectrum. The quad D / A converter uses PCM1795 chips from Burr Brown and operates in a quad configuration for outstanding sound. Each channel is supplied by two PCM1795 chips that work in differential mode to achieve the highest precision and the best possible signal-to-noise ratio.

USB-DAC supports 11.2 MHz DSD and 384 kHz / 32 bit PCM

In order to be able to synchronize the digital circuits correctly, the PMA-A110 is equipped with a USB-DAC input for Hi-Res functions, the PCM input signals up to 11.2 MHz DSD
and 384 kHz / 32 bit supported. The DAC is of outstanding quality, suppresses jitter and ensures optimal precision in the digital-to-analog conversion. In addition, the DSD transmission methods support Wasapi, native ASIO and DSD audio via PCM frames (DoP). The 384 kHz / 32 bit and DSD-capable premium class D / A converter used in the PMA-A110 is also used in the DCD-A110 and delivers first-class sound.

Ultra AL32 signal processing with 384 kHz / 32 bit support

Ultra AL32 signal processing, Denon's latest waveform reproduction technology, uses data interpolation algorithms and supports Hi-Res 192 kHz / 24 bit at PCM signal input. In large amounts of data, the algorithms interpolate data points that are missing before and after existing points so that the waveform is smoothed and resembles the original signal.
These algorithms extrapolate to the bandwidth of the original content and thus improve sound reproduction. The Ultra AL32 signal processing doubles the processing bandwidth of the previous generation (AL32) and extrapolates 384 kHz content to 1,536 MHz. Because the data lost during a digital recording is carefully restored, playback is extremely detailed and free from interference. Instruments and voices can be precisely localized and are very expressive, especially in the lower frequency range - in short: very close to the original of the recording.

DAC as the main clock (master clock design)

In order to be able to synchronize the digital circuits and the four DACs correctly, the master clock design of the PMA-A110 uses a double oscillator with low phase noise. The main clock is right next to the D / A converters (DACs). This suppresses jitter and ensures optimum precision in the digital-to-analog conversion.

The quality of the clock that becomes the reference for semiconductor operation is incredibly important. It ensures that the digital audio circuits can call up their maximum potential. The clock oscillator used in the PMA-A110 dramatically reduces phase noise that could result in frequency shifts. The PMA-A110 is also equipped with two clock oscillators, one for each sampling frequency (44.1 and 48 kHz), which can be switched between in order to thoroughly suppress jitter.

USB-B, optical and coaxial digital inputs

The USB-B input supports PCM signals with 384 kHz / 32 bit and 11.2 MHz DSD. Play Hi-Res audio recordings directly from the computer in native mode. Both the three optical and coaxial inputs support PCM 192 kHz / 24

Bit. Connected to the digital inputs, the sound quality of your TV, Blu-ray or media player improves.

Digital isolator and pure analog mode

The PMA-A110 combines the best of the analog and the digital world: The high-speed isolator circuit is located between the digital and analog sections to eliminate any interference. The PMA-A110 has three independent power supplies to isolate the individual sections and to prevent interference. In pure analog mode, the PMA-A110 switches off all digital circuits. This allows an absolutely clean sound reproduction of analog input signals. In addition, the fluorescent display and all digital inputs (USB-B, coaxial, optical) are switched off. When operated in this way, the PMA-A110 becomes a pure analog amplifier and electrical interference of any kind that could have a negative impact on the listening experience is excluded.

Stable power supply

The PMA-A110 has two transformers mounted in opposite directions in an LC system to eliminate mutual interference in magnetic flux, a source of noise from transformers. The new high-performance, high-capacity electrolytic capacitors for rectification were specially made for Denon. Low-loss, low-noise, high-speed Schottky barrier diodes are used in the rectifier circuit. This ensures a sufficiently clean power supply. In order to achieve a simple and direct circuit configuration, the connection unit between the diode group and the blocking capacitor has been removed. The power supply line to the output stage could be drastically shortened. In order to reduce the impedance, the extremely thick power lines were made of oxygen-free copper.

MM and MC phono preamplifiers

The PMA-A110 has a phono input for both MM and MC cartridges so that you can enjoy your entire vinyl collection in the highest quality. The phono preamplifier of the PMA-A110 is of the CR type, which is sonically superior to the NF type. The CR phono equalizer is exceptionally stable in the upper frequency range and has a superior sound quality, especially in combination with the DL-A110 cartridge.
