Universal and future-proof

The Pro-Ject Pre Box RS Digital combines all the features of the Pro-Ject DAC Box RS with a highly linear preamplifier featuring a switchable output stage with either solid-state or tube technology. It's a high-end preamplifier, universal D/A converter, and flexible headphone amplifier all in one.

As with all of its top-of-the-line digital products, Pro-Ject uses Texas Instruments' PCM1792 DACs, which are used here in dual differential mode. As a unique feature, you can alternatively switch to a 384kHz/32-bit converter chip (also from Texas Instruments). The integrated high-quality headphone amplifier allows you to switch the output impedance for optimal matching to any headphone.

The Pre Box Digital RS offers three-dimensional spatial imaging, superb dynamic range, and outstanding resolution, with the ability to connect a variety of digital and one analog sources. The Pre Box RS Digital truly shines when paired with the Pro-Ject CD Box RS drive, as an I²S interface (via RJ45) ensures maximum jitter-free playback. The separate high-end Power Box RS Uni 1-way power supply is available as an upgrade option for even better sound quality.

Note : Bitstream formats such as Dolby Digital ® or DTS ® are not supported.
