The older audiophiles may still be familiar with Rotel's legendary Michi series from 1991 (such as the RHC 10 preamplifier and the RHB 10 power amplifier). Now the British high-end forge is bringing this series back to life with the brand new Michi P5 (preamplifier), the Michi S5 (double monoblock stereo power amplifier) and the Michi M8 (monoblock power amplifier).

Over the past three years, every aspect of the Michi P5 has been carefully developed, including the power supply, circuit design and selection of critical components, to ensure the highest possible integrity of the audio signal and avoid unwanted interference and distortion.

AKM 32-bit DACs feed a Class A preamplifier circuit that ensures detail and the highest musical accuracy. A number of 17 independent voltage regulators support this circuit. They are controlled by two specially developed and factory-built toroidal transformers with smoothing capacitors and a low ESR content in order to supply all critical circuits with a pendulum-free current.

The P5 reflects in every respect more than 55 years of experience in audio design. The tailor-made in-house production facility ensures that this preamplifier is built to the highest quality standards and proudly bears the Michi logo.

The Michi P5 features MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) technology that allows you to play MQA audio files and streams that provide the sound of the original master recording.

The Michi S5 stereo power amplifier is a first-class linear amplifier with 500 watts of class AB power at 8 ohms and over 800 watts at 4 ohm loads. The double monoblock architecture is equipped with two specially developed, oversized, in-house manufactured 2,200 VA toroidal transformers. Individual, epoxy-filled housings avoid noise and vibrations. A bank of four British patented mass storage capacitors totaling 188,000 µF provides exceptional bass power.

The simultaneous control of 32 high-current output transistors ensures effortless accuracy of timing and rhythm - even under the most difficult load conditions.

The audio performance is to be developed from the product concept to production. This is proven in the S5 as the result of countless hours of construction tests, critical component evaluation and sound tuning. Highest accuracy while keeping the promise that the audio will provide entertainment that the Michi logo deserves.

A color display with writing field and Michi's exclusive 5-way high-current connection terminals with rhodium coating give this amplifier in an elegant industrial design the finishing touch.

The supplied remote control enables easy setup and operation with RS232 and Ethernet connections that support all common control systems.
