Rotel Michi M8 Mono Power Amplifier

Older audiophiles may still be familiar with Rotel's legendary Michi series from 1991 (such as the RHC 10 preamplifier and the RHB 10 power amplifier). Now the British high-end manufacturer is breathing new life into this series with the brand new Michi P5 (preamplifier), the Michi S5 (double monoblock stereo power amplifier) and the Michi M8 (monoblock power amplifier).

The stunning control and high performance of the Michi M8 monoblock amplifier is the result of a perfect balance of science and engineering, delivering 1,080 watts of Class AB power into 8 ohms and an astonishing 1,800 watts into the most demanding 4 ohm speaker.

The M8 (priced each) is powered by a pair of specially designed, low noise, Rotel-made toroidal transformers, supported by four patented, high efficiency, low ESR, British-made split-foil bulk capacitors, providing powerful bass with exceptional control under extreme load conditions.

To achieve accuracy and unmatched performance, the M8 is equipped with an array of 32 high-current output transistors. This reduces the load on the individual components. Musical expression and the finest details are preserved through the acoustic tuning of all critical components and through a balanced circuit design.

A high-resolution display adorns the front panel, which includes a power indicator and a spectrum analyzer.

With XLR and RCA inputs, two sets of Michi speaker terminals, a remote control and fully featured RS232 and Ethernet ports, the M8 offers maximum installation flexibility.
