The MP 2000 R G3 impressively combines the classic, timeless Bauhaus design of T+A's renowned R series with an astonishing range of functions and the ability to play back various sources in the highest audiophile quality. This multi-source player is a true technical masterpiece that is able to process a wide variety of media. This includes not only classic CDs and external SP-DIF devices, but also modern streaming services as well as FM/FM-HD, DAB+ and Internet radio. With typical T+A quality, the MP 2000 R G3 manages to integrate all of these sources effortlessly and guarantee outstanding sound reproduction.
State-of-the-art converter technology
The heart of this system is the innovative T+A Path Separation Technology, which is one of the most advanced converter architectures in the world. This technology strictly separates the signal paths of the various audio formats in order to fully exploit their potential. PCM signals are processed up to a resolution of 384 kSps by the unique T+A quadruple converter. This uses four modern 32-bit converters per channel, which work in a double-symmetrical circuit. This design ensures optimal linearity and minimizes noise, resulting in precise and unadulterated reproduction of even the smallest musical details.
The specially developed True 1-bit converter is used for DSD files. This enables native processing of DSD data up to DSD512 without any loss of quality. This complex separation of the signal paths for PCM and DSD data results in a sound that exploits the full potential of every audio source and thus implements T+A's philosophy: the highest possible playback quality through scientifically based technology.
Digital-Analog Separation System (DASS)
The digital and analog signal processing of the MP 2000 R G3 is completely separated from one another by the T+A Digital-Analog Separation System (DASS). This ensures that digital interference signals have no influence on the sensitive analog playback. The analog output stage operates completely symmetrically, which also contributes to the sound quality. This separation ensures that the signal path remains as short as possible and that the signal reaches the balanced (XLR) or asymmetric (RCA) outputs without loss. The extremely broadband design of the analog output stage with a bandwidth of up to 100 kHz supports the exceptional sound fidelity and dynamics of this device.
Audiophile Streaming Architecture G3
With the third generation of the Audiophile Streaming Architecture (ASA), T+A has created a future-proof platform that reproduces a wide range of streaming services and network sources in the highest quality. The network boards of the MP 2000 R G3 support WLAN, LAN and USB Master Mode, which enables access to services such as Deezer, Qobuz, Tidal as well as local files on the network. Support for HD formats up to 384/32 ensures impressive sound quality, even with high-resolution files. Thanks to the integrated Bluetooth aptX technology, uncompressed FLAC files can also be transmitted wirelessly in audiophile quality.
For the first time in T+A's history, the ASA G3 is able to play DSD files natively from the network. These are passed on to the True 1-bit converter in their original bitstream, ensuring lossless playback. The MP 2000 R G3 thus offers exceptional versatility and unrivalled sonic performance when playing back both compressed and uncompressed audio formats.
De-jitter master clocking
Another highlight of the MP 2000 R G3 is the de-jitter master clocking system, which ensures precise and interference-free conversion of digital signals. In a two-stage process, the incoming data stream is first freed of coarse jitter interference by a PLL circuit. The clock signal is then analyzed by a microprocessor before the internal D/A converter switches to an extremely precise master clock. This clock, which is completely decoupled from the source device, minimizes any interference and ensures that the data is converted into analog signals with the highest precision.
CD drive & tuner
The MP 2000 R G3 also sets standards in the area of classic CD drives. The drive, which is housed in a resonance-damped aluminum housing, is characterized by a high-quality Mabuchi motor, a floating sub-chassis and precise stainless steel push rods. This ensures particularly precise scanning and a stable drive mechanism that reproduces the sound of CDs in unadulterated quality.
The device is also equipped with a state-of-the-art tuner that supports FM, FM-HD and DAB+. Thanks to digital intermediate frequencies, demodulation and stereo decoder stages, the tuner offers excellent reception quality and a high level of attenuation of interference signals. With functions such as radio text, presets and additional services, the listening experience is kept at the highest level, even for radio programs.
