CS 5.3

The special feature of the CS 5.3 is its Tube Line Stage, which is located in the preamp section of the CS 5.3. Based on the tubes specially made for us, we have developed a tube stage that fully develops the sonic charm of these AVM tubes. Due to AVM's own circuit technology, a pleasingly long-term durability of the tubes is guaranteed (approx. 20,000 hours). The CS 5.3 also differs visually from the CS 3.3 due to the glass pane in the housing cover. Through this darkened window, the tube stages can be clearly observed at work.

The CS 3.3 works completely as a pure transistor device. All other connection and performance data correspond to those in CS 5.3. The most obvious distinguishing feature is the closed, brushed aluminum housing cover.

AVM has a decades-long tradition of developing One devices with high-end sound quality since the 1990s. Based on the AVM X-Stream Engine®, a new high-performance generation of our Evolution All-in-One CS devices has been created. Numerous innovations have been incorporated and the new RC X APP also completely controls CS 3.3 and CS 5.3. With these high-performance all-in-one solutions, device towers and overflowing cable tangles are no longer necessary. All modern connections are available, so that, for example, both a record player and a TV can be connected via HDMI ARC. In order to achieve our goal of constructing the best-sounding all-in-one devices on the global market, we borrowed from our flagship CS 8.3. The Evolution CS devices now have a screwless aluminum precision housing that is only 43 cm wide and impress with their minimalist elegance and symmetrical design.

The main focus was on a completely modernized APP control. Simple, intuitive operation and a clear and attractively designed user interface make managing even large music collections child's play. This makes you want to explore new music on numerous streaming platforms. The selection of Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz and HighResAudio delivered can easily be expanded in the future. The AVM RC X APP is available for both iOS (Apple) and Android controlled devices.

The new AVM X-Stream Engine® can stream all high-resolution formats up to resolutions of 384/32, including DSD (256). This streaming engine is a complete AVM in-house development and is completely software based. It can therefore be updated online in a future-proof manner. An HDMI (ARC) interface is on board as well as the modern Bluetooth connection, additional digital inputs and a USB A interface are standard. A completely newly developed high-performance phono input stage enables the connection of MM and MC systems. As a special feature, all adjustments to the selected pickup system can be selected directly and conveniently in the APP. This ensures perfect analog sound, especially when combined with our ROTATION turntables. Completely new are the digital outputs, whose volume can now be adjusted if desired, as well as the signal-sensitive inputs, which switch on the CS 3.3/5.3 as soon as a signal is fed to these inputs.

In terms of sound, there is also a huge improvement over its predecessor. The completely new amplifier stages now provide an impressive 350 watts of continuous power and can control any loudspeaker with ease.

The digital section was completely renewed as part of the new development, because this crucial part is based on the selected ESS9028 PRO Double-Quad DAC. There is also a significant gain in sound, which goes hand in hand with a lot of circuitry, with 4 DACs per channel working in parallel here. This effort benefits all digital sources in terms of sound, so that all high-resolution formats can be reproduced perfectly and faithfully.

The EVOLUTION CS are available in the standard colors aluminum silver or black, and upon request also as an elegant CELLINI version with a chrome-plated and hand-polished front as well as chrome-plated knobs. Like all AVM devices, the EVOLUTION CS are manufactured entirely by hand in the factory in Malsch. The vast majority of suppliers, for example for precision housing parts, are also located in the immediate vicinity of our main factory.
