Powerful discrete 2-channel amplifier

The HiFi network receiver DRA-800H was specially developed for the needs of your 2-channel system. The DRA-800H features a discrete power amp structure, a symmetrical design and a generously dimensioned transformer. It provides an output of 145W per channel (at 6 ohms) and can therefore easily and adequately control floor-standing loudspeakers. Thanks to the Auto ECO mode, power consumption can be reduced without sacrificing performance.

Excellent sound technology

Denon's sound engineers use carefully selected hi-fi components, including resistors and capacitors manufactured to Denon specifications, to optimize the receiver's sound. Building on the award-winning Denon amplifiers, the DRA-800H features a balanced design, double differential arrangement of the DAC channels and an analog preamp circuit that is not affected by the power supply. The discrete circuits with short, direct signal paths between the power supply, signal and amplification ensure detailed and precise imaging with your loudspeakers.

High Resolution Audio

Discover the incredible fidelity of high-resolution audio files and enjoy music the way the artist intended it. The DRA-800H with AKM 32-bit DACs features high-resolution audio decoding for multiple lossless file formats including ALAC, FLAC and WAV at up to 24-bit/196kHz. It is also compatible with 2.8/5.6MHz DSD files (DSD is the audio coding format of SACD). Play them from storage media via the front USB interface or from network sources. The DRA-800H also supports other file types such as MP3 and WMA.

Speaker A/B and Tone 2 preamp output

Connect 2 pairs of speakers for an A/B configuration. Or expand your system in a second room and listen to a different source thanks to the Zone 2 pre-outs.

Phono input for turntables

Denon has been developing turntables and phono preamplifiers for almost 50 years. The DRA-800H's phono input allows you to connect a turntable and enjoy your vinyl collection in excellent audio quality.

Dual DAC differential circuit

The DRA-800H uses two full 32-bit D/A converter channels per physical channel. This double differential arrangement significantly improves both the signal-to-noise ratio and the dynamic range on the left, right and subwoofer channels compared to conventional conversion.

Advanced HDMI section with Arc

All five HDMI inputs - and one HDMI output - support 60Hz 4K Ultra HD video, Pure Color 4:4:4 subsampling, HDR10 (High Dynamic Range), HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma), ARC, and 3D BT.2020 passthrough that ensure outstanding color quality, clarity and contrast. The Audio Return Channel (ARC) supports direct audio forwarding from the TV to the receiver via an HDMI connection.

Advanced video section

For quick control you can use the front panel buttons or the corresponding Quick Select functions on the AVR remote.

Auto low latency mode

The Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) ensures the lowest possible delays in games (e.g. with the XBox One) and thus enables realistic and thrilling experiences (TV must also support ALLM).

Ready for custom installation

Denon's DRA-800H can be controlled remotely and over IP, making it easy to customize and integrate with third-party integration solutions. It can be operated over IP by controllers from well-known vendors and offers Control4 SDDP (Simple Device Detection Protocol) for a seamless connection with Control4 home automation. There is an IR input on the rear for connection to an active external commercially available remote control receiver. Other Denon devices, such as CD players, can then also be looped into the remote control chain and controlled.

Planar 1 incl. RB110 & Carbon

Rega's darling of the audience continues to benefit from the technology of the Planar 3. Its RB 110 tonearm has the same precision bearings as those of the RB 330. The turntable bearing is also from its big brother: a brass bearing with optimized adjustment. The new EBLT belt is used here for the first time. This offers a higher running consistency. If you're looking to get back into vinyl and want exceptional sound characteristics, you've come to the right place!

To start in March, the Planar 1 with the Rega Carbon MM pickup will be available in a worry-free package for 380 euros. The new Planar is "only" our entry-level model, but the revision to the 2021 version has made it so good that you can hear every improvement immediately.

In summary, the plethora of improvements and innovations elevate the Planar 1 well above its competitor models. In terms of price, it is certainly still a "beginner's record player"; in terms of tonal performance, it is far above it.
