The core requirement for a VIRGO has always been to authentically reproduce music from a housing with living space-friendly dimensions. But bass needs volume, that is determined by physics. The new VIRGO III have a remarkably large internal volume - without the external dimensions increasing automatically. This enables the loudspeakers to have a low cut-off frequency, the ideal prerequisite for reproducing basses in a grippingly realistic manner. This is made possible by elements made of modern ceramic foam. In the VIRGO III, they largely replace classic insulation materials, which per se take up a lot of space. The porous and extremely torsion-resistant ceramic plates dampen the sound radiated inwards particularly efficiently and provide massive stabilization for the loudspeaker housing. Vibrations, which quickly lead to sound discolouration, are drastically reduced.
Our developers are consistently fighting against sound-influencing micro-vibrations. The chassis are not screwed directly to the housing, but are securely anchored in the body using neoprene dowels. Both basses sit opposite each other in the flanks of the VIRGO III and work in push-push mode. The mode of operation guarantees an even distribution of the mechanical forces acting on the body during operation, which largely neutralize each other. Mid-range speakers and tweeters have the AUDIO PHYSIC double basket, which is unique in the world. The modern architecture effectively reduces natural resonance and leads to an inimitably pure and open sound reproduction. The VIRGO III uses the new third-generation HHCM mid-range speakers and HHCT tweeters - hence VIRGO III - which are also used in the AVANTERA and MIDEX speakers.
