The KEF LS50 Wireless II is a fully active wireless speaker system that delivers KEF's signature sound with instinctive ease of use and powerful streaming capabilities. Active electronics, digital signal processing, a new wireless streaming platform and the new KEF Connect app combine to deliver a first-class acoustic and user experience.

Absolute freedom: new wireless platform

The new wireless platform that forms the digital heart of the LS50 Wireless II ensures that no matter how you want to listen to your music, you can do so with a minimum of effort and in fantastic sound quality. With the LS50 Wireless II you have direct access to your favorite music services including Spotify (via Spotify Connect), Tidal, Amazon Music, Qobuz and Deezer.

New (connection) options

You can even tune into internet radio stations and catch the latest podcasts via the KEF Connect app. AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast seamlessly connect your compatible Apple or Android device and are even Roon ready - ideal for streaming multi-room music throughout the home. Bluetooth further expands the options.

There are also wired connections for your TV, record player, CD player and game console via the HDMI, analog, optical and coaxial inputs.

New app

The all-new, standalone KEF Connect app walks you through system setup and control, including intuitive sound settings, so you can configure the LS50 Wireless II to suit your personal tastes.

Roon Ready

With Roon Ready certification, the LS50 Wireless II benefits from all the features of the Roon RAAT protocol, providing an exceptional digital music experience. Roon is an engaging way to browse, manage, and listen to music. Artist photos, credits, biographies, reviews, lyrics, tour dates and composers are automatically found and then linked together to create a digital magazine that you can browse at your leisure. Roon is also a multi-room, multi-user connected audio platform that offers features such as bit-perfect playback and signal path display.

The meaning of Roon Ready

Being Roon Ready means Roon automatically finds and connects to the LS50 Wireless II and delivers bit-perfect audio without the need for further configuration. Together, Roon and KEF deliver the strength, flexibility and performance of networked audio with the easiest setup and highest reliability available.

Technical details

In terms of physical technology, the LS50 Wireless II takes the lead from KEF's LS50 Meta passive speakers. A truly revolutionary tool in KEF's acoustic arsenal, Metamaterial Absorption Technology1 (MAT) is a highly complex labyrinth-like structure in which each of the intertwining channels efficiently absorbs a specific frequency. When combined, the channels act like an acoustic black hole, absorbing 99% of the unwanted sound coming from the back of the tweeter, eliminating the resulting distortion and allowing for a purer, more natural sound.

13th generation MAT & Uni-Q

LS50 Wireless II uses a 13cm Uni-Q driver array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which reduces 99% of sound waves coming from the back of the driver to achieve clean and pure sound

Music Integrity Engine

The LS50 Wireless II's performance is supported by the bespoke KEF Music Integrity Engine, an innovative collection of bespoke digital signal processing algorithms optimized for the new Uni-Q with MAT driver array, enabling it to deliver perfectly tuned performance for better performance imaging and deliver tighter, uncluttered sound.

amplifier development

The LS50 Wireless II also offers tons of power at your fingertips. Each tweeter benefits from being driven by a new 100W Class A/B amplifier, delivering smooth, incredibly detailed treble response. Dedicated 280W Class-D amplifiers drive the mid/woofers for room-filling, balanced sound. Meticulous amplifier development was carried out by KEF in-house to keep the quality of the performance on offer fully under control.

The LS50 Wireless II features two subwoofer outputs, one on each speaker, for even more power and bass reinforcement. Combined with KEF's KUBE series or the KF92 subwoofer, music and film become even more impressive.

The LS50 Wireless II is available in three matt versions: Carbon Black, Titanium Grey, Mineral White and a Crimson Red special edition.

Matching feet

On the bottom of the LS50 Wireless II, each corner point has a threaded insert that allows the speaker to be attached to the top of the new KEF S2 stands, which also have integrated cable management and a sturdy column. The color of the feet is completely coordinated with the version of the LS50 Wireless II you require.
