The new wireless platform that forms the digital heart of the LS50 Wireless II ensures that no matter how you choose to listen to your music, you can do it with a minimum of fuss and with fantastic sound quality. The LS50 Wireless II gives you direct access to your favorite music services including Spotify (via Spotify Connect), Tidal, Amazon Music, Qobuz and Deezer.

New (connection) options

You can even tune into internet radio stations and catch the latest podcasts via the KEF Connect app. AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast connect your compatible Apple or Android device seamlessly, and it's even Roon-enabled - ideal for streaming multi-room music around the house. Bluetooth further expands the options.

There are also wired connections for your TV, turntable, CD player and games console via HDMI, analogue, optical and coaxial inputs.

Roon Ready

With the Roon Ready certification, the LS50 Wireless II benefits from all the functions of the Roon RAAT protocol and thus offers an exceptional digital music experience. Roon is an engaging way to browse, manage, and listen to music. Artist photos, credits, biographies, reviews, lyrics, tour dates and composers are automatically found and then linked together to create a digital magazine that you can browse at your leisure. Roon is also a multi-room, multi-user connected audio platform that offers features such as bit-perfect playback and signal path display.

Being Roon Ready means Roon will automatically find and connect to the LS50 Wireless II and deliver bit-perfect audio with no further configuration required. Together, Roon and KEF offer the power, flexibility and performance of networked audio with the easiest setup and highest reliability available.

Technical details

In terms of physical technology, the LS50 Wireless II takes the lead from KEF's LS50 Meta passive speakers. A truly revolutionary tool in KEF's acoustic arsenal, Metamaterial Absorption Technology1 (MAT) is a highly complex maze-like structure in which each of the intricate channels efficiently absorbs a specific frequency. When combined, the channels act like an acoustic black hole, absorbing 99% of unwanted sound coming from the back of the tweeter, eliminating the resulting distortion and allowing for a cleaner, more natural sound.

13th Gen MAT & Uni-Q

LS50 Wireless II uses a 13cm Uni-Q driver array with Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT), which reduces 99% of the sound waves coming from the back of the driver for a clean and pure sound

Music Integrity Engine

The LS50 Wireless II's performance is backed by the bespoke KEF Music Integrity Engine, an innovative collection of bespoke digital signal processing algorithms optimized for the new Uni-Q with MAT driver array, allowing it to deliver perfectly tuned performance for a better imaging and deliver tighter, uncluttered sound.

amplifier development

The LS50 Wireless II also offers tons of power at your fingertips. Each tweeter benefits from being driven by a new 100W Class A/B amplifier that delivers smooth, incredibly detailed high frequency response. Dedicated 280W Class-D amplifiers drive the mid/woofers for room-filling, balanced sound. Careful amplifier development was carried out by KEF in-house to keep the quality of the performance provided fully under control.

The LS50 Wireless II features two subwoofer outputs, one on each speaker, for even more power and bass reinforcement. In combination with KEF's KUBE series or the KF92 subwoofer, music and films become even more impressive.

The LS50 Wireless II is available in three matte finishes: Carbon Black, Titanium Grey, Mineral White and a Crimson Red special edition.

Matching feet

On the underside of the LS50 Wireless II, each corner point has a threaded insert that allows the speaker to be mounted on top of the new KEF S2 stands, which also feature built-in cable management and a sturdy pillar. The color of the feet is completely matched to the version of the LS50 Wireless II you want.
