emit 30

Hi-Fi starts with Emit

Compact floorstanding speaker for stereo and surround systems

The Emit 30 is perfect for larger stereo systems or compact multi-channel home theater systems in medium to large rooms.

Do you not only want “better” but also “more”? Then you have found the right speaker. The Emit 30 is a compact two-and-a-half-way speaker that makes an impression whether used as a stereo pair or in the context of a 5.1 home theater system (and more channels are welcome, of course).

Like its little sister, the Emit 10, the Emit 30 is equipped with 14 cm MSP woofers, which are similar to those in the Evoke series. But here we have equipped each loudspeaker with two of these drivers. This creates an even more solid bass foundation, and the mids are also clearer and more powerfully audible in larger rooms. MSP stands for "Magnesium Silicate Polymer". At Dynaudio, we developed this material for our woofers and we've used it for decades – including in our highly acclaimed high-end models. MSP offers just the right combination of lightness, stiffness and cushioning - and we have continued to optimize and refine this balance over the years. It's a critical element of our quest to deliver precisely controlled performance where it's needed.

Woofer technology at the highest level

We do not use a separate dust cap that is glued onto the membrane. Rather, the dust cap is part of the membrane. Everything here is “from a single source” in the truest sense of the word. The balance ribs around the center are connected directly to the voice coil behind, making the drive system form a whole. With fewer moving parts to consider, our engineers can control the deflection of the cone even more precisely. And that, in turn, allows for even better control over the playback quality of the speaker as a whole. As a listener, you benefit from an extraordinarily tidy sound image; with tight basses, transparent voices and three-dimensional stringed instruments. And the Emit 30 maintains this high level of sound even at high volume.

The heart of every woofer is a strontium carbonate ferrite+ ceramic magnet system made up of two subsystems. By using two magnets, we can more effectively control where the magnetic energy goes. We acquired this knowledge during the development of the award-winning Special Forty - and we are very happy to be able to apply it to an entry-level loudspeaker series.

All this energy is concentrated and made audible by means of the voice coil. The Emit 30 uses aluminum wire. Aluminum is light (which minimizes inertia when the cone moves back and forth). And because aluminum wire is lighter than copper wire, we can pack more turns on the two-layer fiberglass bobbin. More windings in turn mean more power and better controllability even at low deflection. A special twist (pardon the pun) is the very thin copper coating of the aluminum wire. It allows the amplifier to control the voice coil even more precisely. More power at a slightly higher weight: You can probably call that a "win-win".

Highly worth hearing: The Cerotar tweeter

As you can imagine: while the two 14 cm woofers take care of the bass and midrange, the tweeter is responsible for the treble. The Emit may basically be an "entry-level" speaker - but that doesn't mean, of course, that we use outdated "off-the-shelf" components here. Instead, you get the incredible Cerotar tweeter, which is also used in the Evoke product family. It is based on the Esotar Forty tweeter from our anniversary speaker Special Forty and the Esotar Pro, which is part of our Core family of studio reference speakers. And you really must have heard him.

The 28 mm diameter, coated fabric membrane is supported by a particularly clever component; the hexis inner dome. Their playback surface has been optimized for exact treble reproduction without any dips in the frequency response – even at high volume. The Hexis module, in turn, smooths the airflow behind the membrane to reduce unwanted resonances. The "powerhouse" that drives the diaphragm includes an aluminum voice coil and the airflow magnet system. The Cerotar was designed to provide the highest quality playback without ear fatigue. So it's the perfect listening tool if you plan to spend long afternoons and nights with your music collection - and we're assuming it will.

The bass reflex channel is equipped with two flare rings (on the inside and outside) and has been optimized to minimize flow noise. The scope of delivery includes foam inserts with which the playback behavior can be adapted to the installation location of the loudspeaker.

Danish design case

The housing of the Emit 30 consists of 18 mm thick MDF panels. They create a solid, stable playground for the chassis. Internally they are dampened with polyester fibers, the amount of which is measured to the gram to achieve the exact level of resonance suppression required.

As functional as the interior of these speakers is, their exterior is just as appealing. You can choose between three individual laminate surfaces: "Black", "White" or "Walnut". They fit into almost any living environment and can also be combined very well with each other. For example, if you tailor a home cinema system for your living room, you can decide for yourself whether your Emit loudspeakers should be an eye-catcher or whether they should be integrated unobtrusively into the living area.

The Emit 30: a powerful floorstanding speaker in a compact format If you want to rediscover your music collection, this is the speaker for you.

Simple and unfussy

The Emit range of speakers suit modern lifestyles and interiors. Whether it's a classic stereo system or a large surround system: clear lines, simple surfaces and the typically minimalistic Scandinavian design also create aesthetically clear relationships.

The Cerotar tweeter

The Emit uses the profiled Cerotar tweeter from our Evoke series. This is a particularly high quality tweeter inspired by our high-end Confidence and Heritage Special ranges. Among other things, it owes its exceptional performance to the innovative, resonance-reducing Hexis inner dome.

Developed and engineered in Denmark

The entire Emit product family was put through its paces in our high-end Jupiter measuring system in the Dynaudio Labs. The Emit loudspeakers have to meet the same strict criteria as all other loudspeakers in our range. Every detail is measured; everything is put to the test.
