8K home cinema projector

DLA-NZ9 8K HDR

Features at a glance:

  • Newly developed 8K / e-shift X technology delivers 8K image quality
  • BLU-Escent laser light source
  • High brightness of 3,000 lm ensures lively and dynamic images
  • Native contrast ratio of 100,000: 1 corresponds to a spectacular dynamic contrast ratio of infinity: 1
  • 2x HDMI (48 Gbps, HDCP 2.3) inputs that support 8K 60P and 4K120P input signals
HDR10 + contains the metadata of the producer's intentions for each scene, and with this data the projector is able to automatically reproduce the images as the creator intended.
  • Frame Adapt HDR performs dynamic tonal mapping of HDR10 content, frame-by-frame or scene-by-scene, and automatically makes adjustments to achieve optimal images that are as close as possible to reality as seen by human eyes. As part of Frame Adapt HDR, the projector offers improved gamma processing accuracy from 12- to 18-bit equivalent to reproduce smoother and finer gradations.
  • The new Theater Optimizer function, which works in Frame Adapt HDR mode, provides optimal HDR images by analyzing the usage environment based on the screen size and gain information and intelligently adjusting the tone mapping.
  • The Auto Tone Mapping function automatically adjusts the settings for optimal HDR10 image quality.
  • For easy playback, the projector automatically switches to HDR picture mode when HDR10 signals are received
  • New 0.69-inch 4K D-ILA (4096 x 2160) device x 3
  • High quality all-glass lens with 18 elements and 16 groups and a diameter of 100 mm
  • Nine installation mode settings include Lens Control, Pixel Adjustment, Mask, Anamorphic on or off, Screen Adjust, Installation Style, Keystone, Pincushion and Aspect; saved installation modes for different environments can be called up.
  • Wide Color Gamut exceeds the DCI / P3 specification for saturated, beautiful images that come to life
  • Low Latency Mode suppresses the display delay for a faster reaction when receiving signals from PC and game consoles

DLA-NZ9 8K HDR

These projectors use LSIs engineered with the latest technology to handle the huge amount of 8K input data, as well as an up-converter that brings any source to the high-definition 8K resolution. The result is more beautiful and realistic video images full of contrast and reality, regardless of the source, from video streaming to 4K UHD BD videos.

The high-end projector DLA-NZ9 is equipped with an all-glass lens with 18 elements and 16 groups, which has a lens barrel made of all-aluminum * 1. To project high-resolution 8K images into every corner of the screen, the projector has five ED lenses calibrated for differences in the R / G / B index of refraction to reduce chromatic aberration and color fringing when the lens shift occurs enable precise reproduction of the projection with 4K or 8K resolution.

Rely on one of the new D-ILA projectors when it comes to reproducing the rich video information of HDR content, including the extended brightness range, the wide BT.2020 color space and the 10-bit gradation. The new models support all HDR formats, including HDR10 for Blu-Ray and streaming, HLG for broadcasting and the latest HDR10 + signal format with dynamic metadata compatibility.

The JVC projectors are compatible with the two dynamic sound mappings of HDR10 + and Frame Adapt HDR. HDR10 + contains the metadata of the producer's intentions for each scene, Frame Adapt HDR instantly analyzes the peak brightness in HDR10 content using an original algorithm. This ensures that you can see every HDR content in the best possible image quality.

The projection of high resolution images depends on the device and the optical system. The further developed 0.69-inch 4K D-ILA device has doubled the speed required for image reproduction from 120 Hz to 240 Hz equivalent. The new ultra-high contrast optics of the DLANZ9 and NZ8 help achieve an optical brightness of up to 3,000 lumens *, and the new optics have dramatically improved the image quality by thoroughly eliminating the return of unnecessary light onto the projection surface suppressed.

Since these projectors are equipped with a 4K120p input, the signal latency is negligible, which has a positive effect when displaying gaming content at high frame rates on large screens. In addition, the Low Latency Mode reduces the delay in the display of PC signals and games and improves the response to the fast operations of the users.

The light source for these projectors is the latest BLU-Escent blue laser diode used in JVC projectors. BLUEscent technology was adopted for home theater projectors to achieve exceptional brightness and a long service life of 20,000 hours *. The laser diode enables dynamic control of brightness to reproduce images that are closer to human perception. By combining the latest BLU Escent package with the D-ILA device, a detailed, smooth and powerful video playback is achieved.

Significant advances have been made in our proprietary 8K / e-shift technology, which includes the 'e-shift' high-resolution display technology that doubles the resolution by shifting one pixel by 0.5 pixel, and a native 4K D- ILA device with a size of 0.69 inches.

The shift direction has been expanded from the conventional two diagonal directions to four directions (up, down, left, and right) to enable the display of 8K signal information in its entirety.
The result is an 8K resolution that enhances the feeling of three-dimensionality and immersion.
