Conventional systems are either 'over' or 'under' - attenuated (too light or too dull), depending on the specification and composition - a perfect 'middle' is rarely successful.
This is exactly where Rega started its development and was inspired by modern materials and the basic rules of magnetism. The Apheta 2 has neither tie wire nor rubber damping.
After 4 years and many hundreds of attempts, the development of the Apheta was complete. The result is an MC pickup system that combines fantastically clear high frequencies with a deep, controlled bass!
