The Pro-Ject tonearm EVO AS Premium sets new standards in audiophile sound quality and high-quality construction. As a premium tonearm, it combines carefully selected materials and innovative technologies to offer an exceptional sound experience.
Development through listening tests: The tone arm is a crucial element for the sound of a record player. To achieve the highest quality sound, we conducted extensive listening tests using different bearing types, tonearm materials and cartridge combinations. The EVO AS Premium series is the result of over 15 years of experience and continuous development.
High quality Swiss ABEC7 bearing: The heart of the EVO AS Premium tonearm is the inverted gimbal Swiss ABEC7 quality bearing with 4 stainless steel tips. This bearing ensures not only stability but also low friction for clear tracking and a detailed, open soundstage. The heavy stainless steel bearing block provides the necessary stability, while the intelligent design minimizes resonance.
S-shaped aluminum tube with SME headshell: The special S-shaped aluminum tube of the EVO AS Premium tonearm not only offers an aesthetically pleasing shape, but also technical advantages. In combination with the SME headshell, it enables lower groove angle distortion and excellent tracking stability. The internal wiring is made of high purity silver for maximum signal integrity.
Versatile adjustment options: With two included counterweights, the tracking force can be precisely adjusted to support a wide range of pickups. The new, damped counterweight made of TPE minimizes unwanted resonances. The infinitely adjustable tonearm height and the precise azimuth and VTA adjustment offer optimal adjustment options for the best possible sound quality.
