Fitting an LP12 Lid
The Linn LP12 turntable has x2 brackets that accept the hinges for the clear acrylic lid. They fit to the turntable via x4 pre-drilled holes on either side or the plinth at the rear and x4 screws. Bracket location.
With x1 hinge bracket fitted. This is replicated on the opposite side.
There are two spring-loaded hinges that support the lid, they look like this.
They fit over the cut-out areas of the lid at the rear.
Simply push the hinge onto the lid like this.
The lid and hinges can then be lowered into place in the mounting brackets like this.
The hinges and brackets are designed so that the lid can be easily removed. We always recommend that an LP12 be played with the lid removed for best performance (where possible) and the lid replaced when finished listening/demonstrating.
