After accompanying St. Vincent, aka multi-instrumentalist Annie Clark, through her seventh album ALL BORN SCREAMING, your head is cleared - you are essentially mentally free. But back to the beginning: Clark processes the losses and changes she has had to endure in the recent past and creates a pompous soundtrack, composed of a lot of electronic ingredients - of course the St. Vincent electric guitar she designed herself is also used. ALL BORN SCREAMING is not for lovers of pretty, off-the-shelf music (her successful collaboration with Taylor Swift is not mentioned here - you didn't read that!). The artist's idea works - in the end you are seduced by a sound that is sunny by her standards, which then leads to a dramatic finale with the realization "(we're) all born screaming". Perhaps this is even a rule of life: don't forget how to scream.
