The continuous pursuit of the perfect sound creates unique solutions. The Sennheiser HE 1 is the first electrostatic headphones with Cool Class A MOS-FET high-voltage amplifiers integrated into the ear cups. In this way the capacitive resistance of the cable is switched off. The result: extremely accurate reproduction and a 200% higher level of efficiency than any other currently available system. The platinum-coated membranes of the Sennheiser HE 1 'are exactly 2.4 micrometers thin. Sennheiser research has shown that this level guarantees optimal sound reproduction. The gold-coated ceramic converters also ensure exceptional electrical and acoustic performance. And the silver-plated, 99.9% copper (OFC) cable ensures optimum conductivity. So that you can completely immerse yourself in the sonic result of all this technology, the Sennheiser HE 1 has precision-made ear cups made of solid aluminum. The ear pads are handcrafted with supple leather and a soft, allergen-free velor-microfiber mix.
Everything except compromise
The advantages of tube and transistor amplifiers - with the Sennheiser HE 1 you have both. Thanks to a patent-pending circuit design. Its vacuum tubes are connected to a spring-loaded, dampened housing made of marble - which prevents structure-borne sound transmission - and are surrounded by quartz bulbs that protect against interference from airborne sound. This state-of-the-art amplifier is characterized by extremely accurate reproduction with extremely low distortion. For digital / analog conversion, the amplifier can receive digital signals via optical and coaxial SPDIF inputs or the USB input. It also processes high-resolution PCM and DSD data. Music data are converted into analog signals with the 8 internal DACs of the ESS SABER ES9018. The parallel use of four channels per stereo side increases the sonic precision and reduces distortion and noise.
