Connectivity

Play all the music in the world

At the digital heart of the LSX II is the same cutting-edge W2 wireless platform that powers the powerful LS50 Wireless II, ensuring that no matter how you like to listen to music, you can do so with the minimum of fuss and in pristine sound quality.

The KEF Connect app lets you stream Amazon Music, Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer, internet radio stations and podcasts. Apple AirPlay 2 and Google Chromecast seamlessly stream audio from compatible devices, while Bluetooth expands the possibilities even further. You can use native apps to stream directly from Spotify Connect, Tidal and QPlay, plus the LSX ll is Roon Ready. If you use Airplay 2, Chromecast or Roon, you can stream to multiple speakers so you can play music throughout the house.

As if that wasn't enough, the LSX II can also play your own private music collection from a compatible NAS drive or music server. Audiophile music lovers are also catered for with comprehensive file format support up to 24-bit/384 kHz (PCM), DSD and full MQA playback.

Plug & Play with TV and laptop

In addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the LSX II also has an extensive range of wired connections. These include HDMI-ARC for seamless control with the TV remote and a high-quality USB-C input, making the LSX II the perfect desktop system with your computer. There are also connections for your turntable, CD player, games console and many other devices. And if you want a little more depth in your movies and music, there is a dedicated output where you can connect a KEF subwoofer to get the bass you want.

High-fidelity sound

The beauty of the dual speaker concept is that it gives the music room to breathe and unfold, creating a three-dimensional soundstage. The speakers seem to disappear, allowing you to enjoy the immersive performance as it unfolds and draws you right into the experience.
Each LSX II speaker features KEF's 11th generation Uni-Q driver array, developed specifically for this speaker. This signature technology acts as a point source, with the tweeter placed at the exact acoustic center of the woofer/midrange driver, ensuring natural sound reproduction. This design eliminates the traditional, tiny 'sweet spot' and instead delivers precise, pristine sound for all listeners.

The LSX II has a combined system power of 200 watts. Both the tweeter and woofer are each driven by their own amplifier to deliver room-filling sound from such a compact enclosure.

Performance is further improved over the award-winning original by the Music Integrity Engine, a state-of-the-art collection of bespoke digital signal processing algorithms that has been updated. Optimized for the Uni-Q driver, the Music Integrity Engine enables the LSX II to deliver a perfectly timed performance that provides greater clarity and tight, precise sound.

User-centric experience

The KEF Connect app guides you through setting up and controlling the system and music playback, with intuitive sound settings so you can tailor the LSX II to your room.

With the powerful Room-EQ DSP, the LSX II can be tuned to your room and personal taste without you needing to know anything about room acoustics. The 'Normal' mode is designed to guide you through the process with simple questions - all you need is a tape measure. For easy connection to a KEF subwoofer, the LSX ll features Room-EQ subwoofer presets for the best possible system performance.

The LSX II also includes a number of other user-friendly features, such as volume settings, sensitivity adjustments, and the ability to select a source to wake the system when powered on.
You can connect the speakers either wirelessly with a resolution of 24 bit/48 kHz or with the included cable and a resolution of 24 bit/96 kHz.

Famous for his refined take on minimalism, Young's signature is a sleek, stripped-down aesthetic that perfectly suits the needs of the LSX II, which delivers pristine, accurate sound while looking incredibly good. Every single aspect of the LSX II is carefully considered, with a sleek rear connection panel and subtle design touches such as color-coordinated finishes on the Uni-Q driver and connectors. The LSX II also features convenient threaded inserts that allow for secure mounting on the P1 table stand, S1 floor stand or B1 wall mount.

High-quality surfaces

The LSX II is available in five different finishes: Mineral White and Lava Red are coated in satin and gloss lacquer, while Carbon Black and Cobalt Blue are covered in a specially designed fabric by Danish textile designer Kvadrat. The Soundwave by Terence Conran edition features the 'Soundwave' pattern woven into the same unique fabric to underline the connection between acoustics and design.
