The T+A R1000E is a powerful all-in-one music receiver from the renowned E series by German manufacturer T+A. It combines a digital streamer, CD player, radio, amplifier, and digital and analog inputs in a single unit – ideal for listeners seeking maximum sound quality without a flood of components.

High-quality amplifier with real hi-fi potential

The R1000?E is equipped with a Class A/B amplifier delivering 115 W of power per channel at 8?O – even 180 W per channel at 4?O. This provides enough power to drive even demanding loudspeakers with ease. The output stages are based on the same technology as the high-quality PA1000?E, but in a more compact design. Two reserve modes – Linear and Impulse mode – allow you to choose between neutral frequency response and lively impulse response.

The signal-to-noise ratios of over 106 dBA and the harmonic distortion of less than 0.004% document the high-precision amplifier class, which delivers convincing sound even with demanding music signals.

High-quality DAC, streaming and CD player

The core component is a 32-bit double-mono differential DAC that processes PCM up to 192 kHz and DSD64. This is derived from the flagship MP1000E music player and ensures the finest resolution and outstanding dynamic response.

The integrated CD player reads audio CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs via a traditional mechanism with digital output. Archiving and music playback via digital paths offer advantages in terms of sound consistency and easy access.

Internet and FM radio, DAB/DAB+, and HD radio (US version) are also integrated. The receiver streams audio from UPnP servers, USB storage devices, and via Bluetooth aptX®, and supports TIDAL, Qobuz, and Deezer, among others, as well as Roon Ready via UPnP.

Flexible connectivity and excellent interfaces

Its digital inputs include two optical and three coaxial S/PDIF jacks, plus a USB-A (master) and a USB-B (device) port. On the rear panel are three line-level inputs (RCA), one of which can optionally be upgraded with an MM or MC phono module. Analog outputs (pre-out, line-out, and sub-out) and a headphone output (6.3 mm) are also available.

A turntable can be directly connected via the optional phono module—perfect for vinyl enthusiasts. Future-proof thanks to firmware updates via the network, the receiver always stays up-to-date.

Design, operation and user-friendliness

The housing combines aluminum plates at the front and top with solidly reinforced side panels – robust and high-quality. The clear text display, the clear button layout, and the included remote control allow intuitive access to functions. An app control is also available.

The receiver rests on decoupled feet and weighs approximately 13 kg. With dimensions of approximately 44 × 11.5 × 37 cm (W × H × D), it fits comfortably into any hi-fi-oriented rack.
