The Criterion S 240 from T+A combines sophisticated design with impressive sound technology. With its innovative transmission line system, it delivers exceptionally deep bass in a compact design and minimizes annoying sound reflections thanks to the Symmetric Directivity mid-high system. The combination of exquisite Art Deco-inspired cabinet design and the latest acoustic technology makes the S 240 a unique masterpiece.
Transmission line technology
The Criterion S 240's advanced transmission line system maximizes bass pressure through a complex multi-resonator structure. This ensures precise and powerful bass, while the delicately folded structure makes optimal use of standing waves in the low frequency range. Airtight chambers protect the sensitive high-mid range combination from unwanted vibrations.
Symmetric Directivity System
The Symmetric Directivity System ensures precise sound radiation across the entire listening area. The combination of two midrange drivers with a central magnesium tweeter reduces annoying reflections on ceilings and floors, while linearity and sound fidelity are maximized by the FSR crossover.
Organic Baffle Design
To guarantee high-frequency reproduction in its purest form, the Criterion S 240 uses the innovative Organic Baffle Design. The baffles are installed without visible fastenings and are meticulously calculated to prevent disturbing sound radiation.
Exclusive high-performance chassis
The Criterion S 240 is equipped with five high-end chassis, including two 220 mm woofers and two 150 mm midrange drivers. Thanks to modern die-cast aluminum baskets and StarStabalizer embossing, they produce a pure, lively sound reproduction. The 25 mm magnesium tweeter transmits frequencies up to 50 kHz cleanly and without distortion.
High-precision FSR crossover
The triple-tuned Fast Signal Response (FSR) crossover ensures perfect signal processing in all frequency ranges. Thanks to bi-amping and bi-wiring compatibility as well as separate boards for bass and mid-high frequency ranges, the S 240 enables impressively detailed reproduction.
