Revox record player Studiomaster T700

The STUDIO MASTER T700 turntable is a high-end turntable with a unique, integrated MC phono preamplifier. The integration of the preamplifier enables the best and shortest connection between the pickup and the preamplifier, resulting in the highest signal quality.

To ensure the best sound quality, absolute speed accuracy is essential. For this purpose, the T700 has a high-precision electronic PLL speed control via a non-contact optical sensor.

The tonearm is made of high-quality metals, the tonearm tube is made of carbon fiber. The tonearm wire is connected directly to the preamplifier by hand soldering. The pre-assembled Ortofon Quintet Bronze MC pickup completes the high-quality product.

It is operated using backlit touch sensors on the glass plate. This makes operating the record player extremely easy and intuitive.

The T700's turntable is made of black POM (polyoxymethylene), no extra support is necessary. To protect the record player, a cover made of solid acrylic glass is attached (included in delivery), which can also be easily removed completely.

Revox has further developed and improved the T700 turntable:

Drive and belt:

The STUDIOMASTER T700 is now equipped with an improved synchronous motor, which was found to be extremely reliable after extensive stress tests. All T700 models now feature this powerful motor, ensuring smooth and stable performance. In addition, measures were taken to increase the long-term stability of the drive belt and prevent possible jumping off. The belt is now 1.0mm thick and the convex drive pulley has been reinforced with a plate rim on the bottom and top.

Preamplifier:

The MC phono preamplifier of the STUDIOMASTER T700 amplifies the smallest voltages in the range of 0 - 300 millionths of a volt and is at the same time robust against static discharges of several thousand volts. Internal grounding connections on the pickup holder and tonearm bearing as well as protective diodes at the input of the phono amplifier provide optimal protection for sensitive components. In addition, all operational amplifiers are now converted to robust jFET technology, which offers increased ESD robustness.

Protective film:

For additional protection, the STUDIOMASTER T700 comes with a protective film for the acrylic sheet that can be easily removed by the customer. An information sticker on the protective film makes initial commissioning easier.

Note on quality assurance:

Before the STUDIOMASTER T700 leaves the Revox factory in Villingen in the Black Forest, every component goes through strict testing procedures. The boards are individually tested for their electrical functionality at an Audio Precision measuring station. After assembly, the plain bearing is run in for 15 hours. The electrical parameters such as synchronization, distortion behavior and crosstalk are then checked. Each device is also personally tested by our testing staff before it is packaged.

With these optimizations, the STUDIOMASTER T700 offers unsurpassed quality and performance, manufactured with the highest precision and care in our factory in the Black Forest.

Tonearm and pickup

The tonearm is manually operated using a tonearm lift with an oil damper. The tonearm tube is made of carbon fiber and is therefore particularly light and strong. The material composition of aluminum and carbon means that the desired tonearm resonance of 12-14 Hz is achieved.

The high-quality, precisely pre-installed Ortofon Quintet Bronze MC pickup ensures a pleasantly lively sound.

Touch operation

The STUDIOMASTER T700 is operated using backlit touch sensors on the glass plate. This makes operating the record player extremely easy and intuitive. As a special feature, the device can be calibrated using a key combination.

Other special features

The T700's platter is made of black POM (Polyoxymethylene) - a material with high rigidity, low friction and good dimensional stability. Due to these properties, an extra edition is not necessary. To protect the record player, a hood made of solid acrylic glass is attached, which can also be easily removed completely.

Exclusive accessories included

The STUDIOMASTER T700 is equipped with a very extensive and exclusive accessories. The scope of delivery includes, among other things, an elegant wooden box for storing the digital tonearm scale, the carbon record brush, the pot level, the anti-skating weight, the tonearm counterweight, the belt for the turntable and tools. Everything at hand for quick and easy setup and maintenance of the turntable.
