How many perfume bottles or cars are in your home just because you were seduced into buying them by Vivaldi's music in advertising? Another champagne to the Four Seasons? Or chocolate? Max Richter was annoyed by the fact that such a great work was bothering him and took action. 10 years ago, with Recomposed by Max Richter – Vivaldi, The Four Seasons, he showed that this music has far more radiance than shaken champagne bottles.

THE FOUR NEW SEASONS – VIVALDI RECOMPOSED was released last year. Richter now used historical instruments and this time stuck even more closely to Vivaldi's original timbres - and combined the melodies with electronic sounds. A Moog synthesizer from the early 1970s took over this part, among other things. From Vivaldi's point of view, it was a state-of-the-art affair. THE FOUR NEW SEASONS - VIVALDI RECOMPOSED is an innovative album that underlines the creativity of Max Richter. His approach to Vivaldi's music brings us closer to the masterpiece again without succumbing to underhanded incentives to buy it - apart from the album itself.
