The use of an ancient harmonium, with all the background noise, and a whipping snare, Hauschke created the basic framework for a music that emphasizes the torments, the terror and the senselessness of war like no other. The also Oscar-winning soundtrack on smoked vinyl is limited to 2000 copies.
