Chord Huei Phono-preamplifier Black

Designed, engineered and manufactured entirely in the UK, Huei has been carefully engineered to provide turntables with the same high amplification standards that Chord Electronics has become known for over the past 30 years.

Huei benefits from both moving magnet and moving coil functionality, offering compatibility with a wide range of cartridges thanks to extensive gain and impedance adjustment options; Huei's high and low gain switching settings are easily accessible via the front panel controls, providing welcome flexibility.

Huei's advanced design features (for the first time in a Chord Electronics phono preamp) ultra-low-noise microprocessor control of its main functions, including a convenient memory function. With multiple impedance matching options, seven-stage switchable gain, and a switchable rumble filter, Huei's design offers comprehensive compatibility.

Precision-machined from solid, aircraft-grade aluminum billet, Huei's Qutest DAC features a similar form factor to the company's Qutest DAC, along with a top-mounted viewing window into the illuminated electronics. The design also shares the same polychromatic control spheres for which the company has become known with its digital products. The illuminated front-panel spheres provide direct access to Huei's gain and impedance settings, the MM/MC cartridge selection, and access to the integrated rumble filter.

Huei is an elegant, practical, and powerful solution for integrating turntables into Chord Electronics (and other) systems, featuring balanced (RCA) and unbalanced (XLR) outputs with RCA inputs. A high-quality external 12V power supply is also included.
