The no. 519 - simply called the audio player by Mark Levinson - is a network, streaming and CD player at the same time and, in addition to connections for your USB devices, also offers digital inputs and Bluetooth with aptX.

At the No. 519 is a modern player which, in addition to a CD player for the Red Book standard and mp3 CDs, offers various digital and analogue connections. A large 5-inch TFT color display is integrated into the stylish black aluminum chassis at the front, as well as controls on the right and left hand, consisting of eight aluminum buttons and the two control buttons typical of Mark Levinson. There is also a headphone output on the front.

The network player is Linux based and promises to be easy to use. The numerous possible uses of the all-in-one system include wireless or wired streaming, Bluetooth aptX connectivity, digital inputs and USB slots to ensure maximum flexibility when playing.

With the help of its wired Ethernet and wireless WiFi connection, the No. Play 519 from network-connected devices and drives. The preamplifier can stream common files in FLAC, mp3, wav and many other formats from the computer and the Bluetooth connection ensures convenient music playback from smartphones and tablets. Since hard drives can also be connected thanks to two additional USB ports, the No. 519 comprehensive access to your music.
Of course, the player was designed so that it can be played via a variety of streaming portals such as Spotify Connect, Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer as well as Internet radio and podcasts.

In addition, the so-called Clari-Fi restoration technology has been integrated into the streamer, through which the digital audio files are analyzed during playback in order to reconstruct what is lost during compression.

It is also important to know that the audio player offers six digital inputs, including an AES/EBU input, two coaxial RCA inputs and two additional TOSLINK receivers.
The analog outputs include balanced XLR and RCA outputs as well as three digital outputs: AES/EBU, coaxial and TOSLINK.

In No. 519 itself is a DAC that already comes with the Mark Levinson No. 585 integrated amplifier was introduced and has three possible filter options:

The Fast filter has a steep level drop for maximum attenuation of unwanted high frequencies.
The slow filter provides a gentle drop in the level of high frequencies.
Finally, the minimum filter has a steep level drop for high frequencies.
In addition, the no. 519 is a digital preamplifier and can be connected directly to the amplifier of an existing system or to active speakers. Thanks to the high-pass filter, a single or dual subwoofer can also be connected.

The streamer can be controlled with a remote control and, thanks to its website interface, from all common internet browsers. Of course, an iOS or Android app is also available, with which you can, for example, configure individual volume for each input. This means that the app can be used to preset a different volume depending on the connection.
