AURALiC ARIES G1 – Wireless Streaming Transport
With the ARIES G1, AURALiC continues the success story of its streaming transports. Developed as the central digital hub for modern high-end systems, the ARIES G1 connects a wide variety of music sources in studio quality with the highest sonic authority. High-resolution content from the local network, USB storage devices, or online services such as HIGHRESAUDIO, TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, and internet radio is conveniently streamed via Wi-Fi or LAN.
The technical foundation is AURALiC's proven Lightning streaming architecture – a platform specifically designed for uncompromising music playback. Features such as on-device playlists, extensive memory caching, gapless playback, and bit-perfect multi-room functionality are standard. Control is primarily via the sophisticated Lightning DS app for iOS, which enables intuitive navigation through extensive music libraries. Additionally, the ARIES G1 is fully compatible with AirPlay and SongCast and can be used as a Roon Ready endpoint. A newly developed, platform-independent web interface significantly simplifies setup and configuration.
In terms of sound and performance, the ARIES G1 directly benefits from AURALiC's G2 reference series. Inside, it's powered by the high-performance TESLA G2 platform, whose processing power significantly surpasses that of previous ARIES generations. With a 50% faster processor, double the RAM, and a generous cache, the G1 is capable of processing streaming formats up to PCM 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD512 stably and without loss – even over wireless networks.
The housing design also follows the G2 line: The elegant, black anodized aluminum chassis adheres to the clean lines of the Unity design. Front-mounted control buttons allow for direct navigation, while Smart IR enables the integration of any standard remote control. The high-resolution 4-inch True Color Retina display provides a clear presentation of playback information. Inside, two separate, linear Purer Power supplies ensure a clean power supply – they consistently isolate the digital signal processing from the audio circuitry and minimize interference to a sonically relevant minimum.
The ARIES G1 is therefore far more than a network player: It is an uncompromising digital transport for listeners who expect the highest resolution, stability and musical integrity.
